How much Fat can you take in during average day?

Just wondering how much fat people can take in on an average day before they would be getting fat.

Might sound like a stupid q but let me rephrase a bit

How much fat could I take in an average day, saturated and non saturated without getting fat? considering I play 5 a sides twice a week, 7 a sides once a week and go to gym 3 times a week?

reason I ask is I've been weak when it comes to cake recently grrrrr

EATING DIETARY FAT DOES NOT MAKE ONE FAT

It's only when you have a load of high GI carbs with saturated fat that contribute to fat gains.

No, its an excess of cals, period. GI is irrelevant, and fat quality (efa or sat/trans) has a very minimal impact on physique. It is quantitiy (energy gained or lost within the system).

So you're saying 3000 cals worth of donuts is the ABSOLUTE same thing as 3000 cals of chicken and rice?

No, 3000 cals worht of doughnuts would be just carbs, wheras 3000 cals of chicken and rice would have a good amount of protein.

Protein is a seperate matter. From a caloric surplus/deficit point of view, protein source doesnt matter either, but for bodybuilding purposes, "Quality" protein sources are better due to their amino acid profiles.

100g of sugar vs 100g of veggies.

The difference: The veggies will leave you feeling full, will give you a solid dose of phytochemicals/micronutrients/anti-oxidants.

The sugar will leave you hungry, possibly give you a sugar crash, make you feel sick, and possible impair your atheletic performace.

Body composition will be the same (unless your insulin resistant/diabetic)
