The most irritating face in forever, always got sick of him, but I think this new heel angle is the best he's ever been. I'm sure Heyman has a lot to do with that, but I think he's really embracing the whole Tribal Chief / Head of the Table thing.
This new music (FINALLY dropping music from The Shield .. months overdue TBH but I guess post-Wrestlemania title defense is a good time to debut it.. I didn't watch Mania, did he still use Shield Theme to enter?) sounds great. Really suits his new persona.
Much as I'd love to see Cesaro get a title run, I'm thinking this might escape him and Reigns will hang on to the title long enough to face and defeat Rock in a defense (you know it's coming to that, who else is gonna come, Cena?) and it will only be on a later post-Rock match he'll eventually drop it.
Will he drop it to Cesaro? Not really sure. Maybe he jumps brands to challenge Lashley instead? I could see Cesaro getting screwed at Backlash by Rollins+Jay interference, but then coming to win the Rumble and winning at Mania assuming he gets enough of a push.

If this is the best he's been, it's not saying much. He still sucks. Handing him a microphone when Heyman could have done all the talking for him was a huge mistake. Still can't understand a word he says and his delivery is awful. Stage fright Roman will never be over.

I like heel Reigns. So ruthless and arrogant. Not just your typical angry heel. He has this arrogant aura you really love to hate. His looks is made for a heel.

If you compare him for example to Lashley he's a lot more unique IMO.
Of course I get the sense they might actually try to flip Lashley face or something to sate the BLM crowd.
At first I thought they were gonna do that with Keith Lee but no telling how long he'll be injured for.
Maybe that's why E's dropped to Crews, so E can get pushed for a world title.

His in-ring work is amazing as long as it's not involving handcuffs. The facial expressions, the moveset, the psychology - it's all really spot on compared to most modern guys.

Roman's heel persona is textbook perfect. In the old days pre-Hogan the best was when the face chased the title and the heel held it at all costs. That is old formula wrestling. Hogan broke that mold, shattered it. But yeah honestly Roman was never a face or a heel before he teamed with Paul H. I mean it was so terrible that JBL said, "He isn't a good guy, he isn't a bad guy, he is just the guy." That is what they gave him to deal with. He never talked when with the shield, same music and look forever. 2020 time off was the best thing for him. But hey, if you love to hate him, then he is doing a great job in his heel role.
