The U.S. should be number one in happiness, if not top 5. Instead it's always the same, Finland, Switzerland, Iceland, Denmark, etc.
Are a majority of sources just biased?

Because the bottom 90% are in a state of near-slavery, having all of their money and time extracted to make the top 10% happy.
It's hard to be happy when you know tomorrow your child could get cancer and your entire family's wealth would go down the toilet to pay medical bills.
Oh not to mention it's nearly impossible to guarantee a good life for your children in the USA unless you're a moneymogger. So nobody has children unless they're wealthy or an ******* who doesn't care about their child's future.
If you measured only the top 1% of each country by wealth I bet USA would be at the top of the happiness index.

This country was really happy in the 80s and 90s.
Since then, we've had:
rise of ghetto culture
social marxism
shrinking middle class
soaring costs
forced diversity
We do have more opportunity than we did back then, with the internet being the great knowledge equalizer, but I would argue that it's harder to make it due to the insane cost of everything today.Misc Entrepreneur Crew

Happiness is a subjective term, in the US has a higher percentage of overachievers than anywhere else. Those people may not list themselves as happy, because they are not satisfied.
Although I do admit that we are getting away from this at an increasing rate. The US has had it so good for so long, that many people do not realize how much better it is than most places in the world, therefore they become whiny little beotches.

Have you been to America?
Unless you have money its kind of a dump. Plus urban youths and liberals everywhereSurvival. When the jungle tears itself down and builds itself into something new. Guys like you and me, we end up dead. Doesn’t really mean anything. Or, if we happen to live through it, well that doesn’t mean anything either.

Why is anyone even taking those indexes seriously? You can't really measure happiness, first of all. Secondly, those indexes are put together by leftists, and I'm pretty sure I remember they are mostly just rating countries on things leftists care about. So your country will be rated less 'happy' if you don't have universal healthcare. It's nonsense.

This. The rise of rap culture an hip hop has done a large amount of damage here also. Young people are very impressionable to it and idolize the lifestyle and things they say because they think it’s cool. Through the 80’s and early 90’s this country was goat. Gang/rap culture started catching on and suddenly being a cold blooded criminal was being idolized, it’s easy to see now looking back on it.
A real man isn’t some cold blooded criminal, that’s where young fatherless boys lose their way. A real man can still care, be respectful and be willing to help the community. A real man can also take criticism without letting his animalistic nature take over and act out like an ape. Rap did a chit ton of damage here in the US within a short time frame.Last edited by EagleOfWar; 04-25-2021 at 01:58 PM.

Correct. That never being satisfied feeling that pushes want to be an overachiever can be detriment to their overall happiness. Remember Homer Simpson is the happiest man in the world.
Also the Japanese suicide rate is so high because most of them die virgins... (Imagine never having anyone to say "they were the best man" about). Depressing.
I think the survey that destroys this ranking entirely was the one that said literally half the people on the planet would move to the US if they were physically able to. (And if the Democrats have their way, that might come true).
