Honestly from the angle, seems like he already went parallel which is good enough. ATG isn't always needed which is what I'm guessing you're referring to.

You don’t have enough information to make that determination.

In my experience, when a squat is filmed from that angle, and a squat looks like that, it probably looks perfect from the side view.

Regardless, practice is practice and that’s a very good set of practice.

i was initially competing in a USPA local meet but that got cancelled bc of covid, then i signed up for a USAPL one and lo and behold second lockdown happened over here.

maybe this winter tho when i can hit 600 deadlift and 495 squat

As a general point though, I don't get why people don't just put a box or a dumbbell under their butt and touch it ensuring consistent depth each time.

Wrist wraps because the torque on the wrists can cause issues for some depending on grip width/squatting technique.

Spotter because it's a lot less dangerous to get a little help on a miss and re-rack vs dumping the bar.

wrist wraps: had shoulder issues preventing proper mobility due to sore ass lats and pecs. wraps made it easier to make wrist more “straight” so i could slide in further

spotter: so i don’t waste my time picking the weights off and putting the bar back up. also more reps due to feeling of safety

boxes are for cheaters who bounce off of it or can’t even hit quarter squat depth. if i’m not doing that **** in a competition i’m not doing it in training
