I just recently purchased flax bread.. i never heard of it before so i wanted to add it to my diet and see how it worked... its supposed to contain omega 3 fats however my question is would this be harmfull on a clean bulk since im trying to minimize fat gain and put on mostly muscle.. ive read somewhere to avoid foods containing fats and carbs, would this bread be harmfull ?
As I posted elsewhere, the oil in flax is so unsaturated that it forms lipid peroxides (bad) very easily. (Keeping your flax oil at room temperature is enough to cause this reaction.) That being the case, I am not sure a baked product with flax is safe. Personally, I would not eat any unless I saw a study showing that the baking process did not alter the flax in the product and the product was safe.
As a side note, I understand that people have eaten baked products with flax in them for many years. They have also eaten french fries and have not died from them either. I suspect that neither is the best nutritionally.
