Libs. If voter ID is racist, what is vaccine passport? Or needing ID for gun purchase

If you claim minorities, just because of their skin color, have no money for ID, and no access to DMV’s or internet - so voter ID laws discriminate against them.

Then are they going to be discriminated against when Biden sets up vaccine passport?

Are they currently being discriminated against and prevented from exercising a constitutionally protected right when in order to buy a gun you need to show ID?

Why is your line of logic so inconsistent?

Funny they haven't targeted alcohol and cigarette id requirements because they are so disenfranchised.

Burdensome voter ID laws aim to disproportionately disenfranchise minorities.

Vaccination is a public health and economic benefit to everyone, including minority communities, which have been the most severely impacted by the pandemic in terms of both death rates and economic fallout.

So it’s not racist to make someone get an id(vaccine passport) for covid?

But it’s racist to make someone get an ID for voting?

And what about id to purchase gun? Isn’t that racist because they don’t have the means to get a gun so by definition they don’t have means to get a gun for self defense because of racist Id laws?

Getting an ID is a burden?

And is the virus racist again? Why were they impacted the most? Which minorities are we talking about? The ones that are the most obese, the most unhealthy?

The federal government requires ID to administer the vaccination. It also requires that you register.

    Please explain.

ID to vaccine = vaccine card to participate in society.

Should we eliminate ID for vaccination? Proving age, as a scheduled and phased rollout, through ID is racism?

You know the reason why. They don't give two chits about tracking countless votes by illegal, (D)-voting immigrants, but care a great deal about who is exercising their civil liberty to not get vaccinated.

i would think that the same issues that minorities have with voter ID would be the same when getting vaccinated since you still need ID to document who you are when getting the vaccine.

Black and libertarians. They're obviously torn on how to handle it so they focus on condemning libertarians while educating and persuading the black population. They tend to be very specific when it comes to trust in the government and the groups that possess it.

Vaccine passports help to alleviate the disproportionate loss of life and economic damage dealt to minority communities during the pandemic. It is overwhelmingly systemically beneficial even if it inconveniences some and so not “racist.”

Burdensome voter ID requirements accomplish very little other than disproportionately disenfranchising minorities over a largely fictitious issue. It is overwhelmingly systemically harmful and therefore considered “racist.”

So there are all these minority adults around who are permanently unemployed and don't have a bank account, yet somehow don't get food stamps, disability, or any other kind of welfare program assistance, and they never rent an apartment or buy alcohol? Because you need an govt ID for all of those. That description sounds like a straightedge illegal immigrant who works under the table and is off the grid.

Summary: the "burden" of getting a vaccine passport is fine since it's systemically beneficial.

The "burden" of getting an ID to ensure sanctity of elections is not systemically beneficial.

Fun fact as pointed out...you need an ID to get the vaccine in order to get the vaccine passport. So now it's TWO "burdens." Still beneficial?

Let's hear the logic to this por favor. The neurons in your brain must be criss-crossing all over the place.

    Thanks!

ID requirements for buying a gun is disenfranchising as well. Is it not important for minorities to exercise their constitutional right of owning a gun to protect themselves? Or are you going to say it's different because guns are deadly?

We have ID requirements for guns because we want to make sure that they can't be purchased by those who aren't allowed to have them. We want ID requirements for voting to make sure that those who aren't allowed to vote are not determining the outcome of an election.

The ID disenfranchisement argument is complete BS. If it was legit, they would put forth the evidence showing how many American citizens over 18 have no ID and provide an explanation on why those people can't get one. Also, they can include an explanation on how those people live day to day with no ID (basically impossible)

So you admit that it is not really about being fair to everyone in both examples. It's just about you getting the outcome you want (everyone vaccinated and your winner in an election).
