    Question Working out after school...Q

The only time I have to workout is between 3:30-3:45 until about 5:00-5:15 which is fine, it gives me an easy 1 1/2 to get my workout in. the problem is I eat lunch at around 11:30 - 11:45, i'm trying to figureout what i should eat as my pre-workout meal, would 16oz. milk be ok? I have heard that high sugar carb drinks may give you a drop in blood sugar making you feel weak during your workout, so would milk be better to drink at around 3:00(thats when i get home) or should i use something else?

You should eat every 2 hours, ideally. Personally I don't eat 1 hour before my workout, as I will puke otherwise. I don't consider milk by itself a snack, as I try to have some sort of complex carb for my snacks and in my meals to keep insulin levels nice and level. Maybe get some bagels and peanut butter them and put them in your bag. Have 1/2 at 1pm, 1/2 at 2:30pm. That'd be a good snack, especially if you can sneak some milk in at eat of those snacks.

I dunno so much about pre-workout, but i'd suggest packing something with high protein and some carbs to eat within an hour after school. Just get some protein somehow
