Take movie tickets for example. 80% of blockbusters' revenues nowadays are generated overseas. They don't need you able to buy a ticket for you and your family for them to make money.

For houses - they don't care if you can't afford to buy their investment property in CA, because some millionaire in China can.

For Iphones - you need a team of like 10,000 largely Indian and Chinese green-card engineers to design it, you need the Taiwanese to manufacture it, and you have customers on every continent of the world buying it. At no fukking point are United States citizens required, unless it's C-suite brahs hosting investor calls to show off how much fukking money they have.

The rich can make money with or without American wagecucks at this point, so they are free to cut us loose.

This is depressingly true. Look at the most profitable tech companies from 30 years ago vs now. I don't remember the exact numbers, but basically a 90% reduction in the number of Americans making money off it.
