i saw a psychiatrist and asked for an MAOI. he said no and I said ok no worries bye. I was charged $300 for a 10 minute zoom call. Can I dispute this? what happens if I don't pay?

Yes, it's sad reality and it pisses me off every time.

Every time I go to a doctor for help, the doc never prescribes me anything but I still have to pay for the visit... Or worse, he orders a bunch of tests (which I pay for) and then he STILL doesn't prescribe anything.

It's a complete waste of fccking time and money. These muthafccckers don't help at all, and on top of that their staff are usually morons who either screw up my billing or screw up my appointment times.

These days, I've found that it's better for me to use telemedicine where I know I can at least get a prescription for a quick treatment.

Jesus. Literally had this happen to me. They asked routine questions during annual physical for my daughter:

Doctor "how is potty training going?"

wife "Still working on overnight but everything is good"

Doctor "Oh thats pretty normal at this age, she will grow out of it"

Brb $150 bill not covered by insurance because they "diagnosed" my daughter with Nocturia - According to google "is a condition in which you wake up during the night because you have to urinate." They asked no further questions, gave no formal diagnoses, no treatment plan nothing. Literally a routine question. I found out what the actual diagnoses was after complaining to the insurance company and they told me it was billed as an outpatient visit with a diagnosis. Complained to BBB, state consumer affairs etc and they reversed it eventually, we're talking a visit 5 months ago.

I was eating like sh!t for the last 8 months, but finally got my diet in check the last 2. So had bloodwork done, and my cholesterol came back a little high. First time in my life where it was high, but nothing like a few months of dieting and cardio can't fix. The doctor wanted to prescribe me so much medication. I told him that's dumb and it can be fixed with diet and exercise, and then he freaked out. I started laughing and he was upset of how persistent I was about not taking pills in order to be healthy.

I've developed both a hatred and fear of doctors.... these muthafccckers either don't do jack sh/t, or they'll misdiagnose me and make the situation worse, and on top of that they have the audacity to bill me for their fcck ups...

This is why I dread the idea of universal socialized healthcare because I know the bureaucracy will make the process even worse, I'll probably be left to die in the waiting room because they can't treat me until some bullsh/t paperwork gets processed (God only knows how long these lazy fccks will take just to process some damm paperwork)....
