Do you guys have days where nearly every magic item dropped is worth $4k+ and then days when everything is worthless?

On act 1 with a new character a few weeks ago and I maxed out all the gold I could hold in a couple nights playing. I wasn't farming gold, just never seen this before. Get to act 2, and everything is chit.

Lol I felt like a homeless looting for every gold this weekend. My merc dying every second drained my stash of gold. I can't even res him so had to play and farm carefully without him and try to save mana pots lol.

Can't keep my A2 merc alive for chit, and soooo dumb. My golem will chase down mobs from far away, then this piece of chit will wait for me to get super close to attack. Not good for a necro.

how did you get a torch? i must be the only person in the game without them.

D2jsp would get credit for that.
Not even that expensive on there.
Traded like 3 t keys and a ele gc (all self found) for 200ish fG and got a low barb torch for it.

Offline mode/w controller(especially handheld mode on switch) > Online Mode w/ mouse and keyboard


Off line is much more challenging, you don't get rushed, just enjoy the game. maps are concrete

Online mode, you're tempted to go into those free giveway rooms and spoil the f out of your time. There isn't challange if someone can give you top gear that you had no part in finding

Offline takes away the whole purpose of what makes the game great.
And back in the day, ppl would cheat offline and on open bnet too which also is lame.
I never go to those free handout games but its not like they give out anything good anyways.

Offline is great too in its own way. Its just different. It does feel rewarding to find all the gear yourself though. Its pretty refreshing to for me since I pretty much only played online back in the day.

I would NEVER stoop to that lvl.. whats the point of playing then?

D2jsp already kind of ruins the spirit of the game a bit but at least im selling self found items for fg etc

I think 3000fg = $100 so they could be buying it, but there are some people who appear to be duping already; saw a guy make a thread saying he had 30 Jah runes for sale

Sell. This isnt crypto, price does NOT go up. It only goes down. More time passes = more items available. And, as you said, duping will eventually leak

edit:
google search concluded that apparently if you make a runeword in an armor that increases max durability, the repair costs increases "ten fold"

You think its worth my 2nd respec to go frozen orb? Not really a fan of blizzard’s mechanics tbh. I know blizzard does a ton more dmg but it only helps if its lined up properly

Oh, I was planning to swap Travs for Treks.. 55% or so poison resist. I might have to just keep certain boots with specific resistances depending on the duel.. but my goal is to try and have one build for everything with max res.

My lightning and poison resistance will be maxed with the torch, but fire and cold will be at 43 and 53, respectively. Would just need 7x 5 resist all small charms and I'm good, or if I get an anni with perfect resistance I'd need 3 charms.

Planning to hold off on both the torch and anni though because torch costs 2-2.5k fg and anni something crazy like 8k.. could make entire characters with those budgets.

Been focusing on a WW barb and it's been fun.. I think the fury druid idea is out. I hate that runewords seem to dominate builds these days as someone else mentioned earlier.. my WW barb will eventually need Grief + Fortitude or Grief + Enigma, sucks really. I'm thinking of just using the Grandfather I found a while back for now, as I won't be PvPing with him anytime soon

For PvP you can make whatever you need situationally on hand, WW is fine too for the big poison rez boost. Shared stash should make the scene a lot more interesting.

I'm currently Frozen Orb/Fire Ball build and it's still a pain dealing with elites that have both immunity.

I'm currently Frozen Orb/Fire Ball build and it's still a pain dealing with elites that have both immunity.

I can solo the entire game in hell, but there are definitely times where I absolutely dread playing certain areas because I know I will have to wait for my merc to kill everything. Specifically:

Countess: I used to have my merc take out everything first before hitting countess, but now I just keep telestomping her and lead the other sloots out of the room, and repeat.
Diablo runs: mages. Really not a big deal as I open all seals and then kill uniques, then just struggle with lord de seis, but it eventually happens
Baal runs: in the ToD if there are CI's waiting, and the skeles on wave 2.

This all good timing because I just did the Pits for the first time. Holy cold immunes... just tele'd to the chest, and a champion dropped a 122 arach.... hnngggg
