Now that I’m in nightmare, I’m debating what to respec too. I’m not doing hammerdin. Holy Shock is probably my favorite paladin build so I’m thinking either that or just good old fanaticism.

I got to Act 2, level 18, unlocked Blessed Hammer. And my very first time trying to use it I was in Maggot's Lair, in those tight hallways where the Maggots are the size as the tunnels themselves and I had the hardest pharking time actually trying to use the chit.

Immediately logged out, rolled a BlizzSorc, and decided to just play her in lobbies with other people. Already on Nightmare and having a way better time when it comes to damage and hitting things I'm intending to hit, however it feels super squishy. And I ragequit earlier after I died in an online lobby and have no clue how to track down my corpse for the equipment I had lmao. Oops.

After I ragequit I went back to the Paladin, toughed out Act 2, feeling a lot more skilled in how the game works now, and I've been enjoying it. Feel very tanky, love the auras, blessed hammer is actually good if I can hit with it lol, though I feel deprived of mana a lot of the time unfortunately. Gonna reserve judgment for when I unlock Holy Shield though.

I'll probably keep yo-yoing back and forth between Hammerdin and Blizzsorc.

I have zero clue how the heck people memorize all the names of uniques/equipments/runes. Way too many items to remember their names, let alone where they drop.

I’m thinking next character after the zealot is gonna be a wind druid. Gonna use the paladin to make spirit, insight, etc. so that’s all ready to go.

noticed this in act 1 hell. some monsters still have very high immunity, and take no damage.

i noticed too in act 1 and act 2. Some mobs were cold immune and I was like wtf why am I killing them? lol. Going to try and confirm if I can kill Hell Countess lol.

How the **** do I find a damn 4 socket pole arm? I can only find up to 3.

try nightmare or hell cows for a polearm which can have max of 4 sockets. once you find one, you can then socket it with act 5 npc quest if you need one really bad.

I bought a plain vulge, which supposedly has a max of 4.

Where did you get the voulge? Items have hidden ilvls based on the monster and area.

Found a 3 socket Aldurs rythm off Baal, and saw some people socket it to increase attack speed. Not sure what would be best for me.

Is there any real point in socketing a weapon then? Keep it open for a character later on? Since I dont believe it has any effect on the hammer damage.

i think you're supposed to bid on other people's auctions. then when your offer is accepted, you set up a trade involving one of the site's moderators. give them the fg, and the other person gives the item, and then the mod distributes them.

lol you phucked up brah. the only way you can get a plain voulge and have larzuk socket it with 4 guaranteed is Act 5 Normal and Normal Cows. I think Chaos in Act 4 as well but Normal Cows is your best bet. It all depends on the hidden iLevel. If you want to find a straight up 4 socket, you need to go into nightmare.

I used it like 15 years ago but I remember you didn't need a middleman but you could request one if it was a big trade.

Otherwise the person who is considered more trusted and goes last in the trade (assuming the trade can't be done in the window) is the one with 2/3 of the following: earlier join date, more posts, and more forum gold.

They need some sort of setting for how close your merc follows you. He's always so god damn far behind that he rarely actually helps me do anything.

If you're a sorc, he usually appears when you teleport. That is what I do when he is too far behind.

Still using a malice flail in NM. Really need something else. Gonna try and find a Naga and use the cube recipe to see if I get lucky with 5 sockets and make an Honor.
