Just ordered parts for a massive i9 build but I will have to run my old RX 570 for now. Even these cards which are 5 years old are going for over $400 lol. Any brahs know where I can get a RTX for under 800?

I built my last PC and I was planning on building my next one but getting annoyed at the crazy high prices on cards/all being sold out. But I wonder if I would have better luck just buying a prebuilt at this point with the crazy graphic card prices as it seems that actual companies that build PCs are getting their graphic cards.

if you have a micro center near you I'd just get a Powerspec prebuild like I did a month ago.
Got this for $2400 and it's a solid prebuilt, windows pro no bloatware, just plug power cable in and it's up and running.
Intel Core i9 10900KF 3.7GHz Processor
NVIDIA RTX 3080 10GB GDDR6X TUF GAMING (going for $1,600 alone on ebay right now when I just checked cause of this thread)
32GB DDR4-3600 RAM
ASUS ROG STRIX Z490-E
1TB NVMe SSD
They seemed to raise it by $100 since I last bought it but heres the link : https://www.microcenter.com/product/...LAN__WiFi_6_WL

Welcome to the club.
Yeah best bet right now is just to buy a prebuilt and hope you can salvage some of the parts to sell and just keep the card.*** Extreme OCD crew *** (brb bench press not parallel to the ceiling beams)

How do people still somehow not know about best buy's bi-weekly drops? Virtually every (bi-weekly) Tuesday, around 11am est.

See build in sig.
I got these components in November primarily, so IDK how availability has changed over the months.
My advice to OP is, for both CPU and GPU alike, to also consider looking into "combo deals". I only got my GPU because I bought a +$100 combo that included a PSU that I don't even use and is gathering dust behind me. CPU was also a bundle, but I got lucky because the "bundled item" was OOS, and it just let me keep the CPU at retail price.
On your phone, get "HotStock". For free, it'll let you sign up for one specific item at a time of your choice, and get notified when a list of online retail stores suddenly show availability. Again, only one product at a time for free. Includes PS5/SeriesX/Nintendo Switch and stuff too. This app seems to notify before most other things are aware, FYI.
On your computer/phone, join the "StockDrops" Discord. Sign up for any products you're interested in, and try your luck with notifications. Beyond that, there's region based chats you can join where people might post working links that the Discord, and other tools, might be slow to report or unaware of.
On your computer's web browser, download the extension "Distill Web Monitor". It is an extension that you can give specific websites to, assign time intervals, etc. and at the end of each time interval it will open up a new tab and scan to see if certain aspects of the web page (store page for example) changes, and notify you via the web browser when it notices a change. Little gimmicky and doesn't work with all sites though, bare in mind.
Lastly, recommend checking out some subreddits, chatrooms, and livestreams that are specifically dedicated for notifying and discussing stock availability. I don't have any off hand but they're all findable.i7-14700k
