Thats how inflation works. That said, I don't know what hell hole you are living in but in my area starting jobs start at about $20.00 per hour with no experience required. I'm sure that's the case in most of the country. Minimum wage has always increased at a rate where it doesn't impact most of the country. The only ones that really feel it are in tiny little places in mid America. But a few million people in rural Ohio that get a bump aren't going to have a noticeable effect on the countries inflation rate at large.

The way our current debt is growing no one will pay it. Eventually the government will be forced to hyper inflate our currency to pay our obligations. Thats not how it works. The colleges get paid at the time you enroll. The government issues grants (free money) or loans (money that likely won't be repaid ever). The government funds this from government debt. And this debt is never likely going to be repaid short of the government hyper inflating the currency at some point in the future.

That happened long ago starting with Bush 2. The last time we really had a shot of avoiding this debt hell we have got ourselves into was during his term. Clinton was the last president with a balanced budget and even then it was going to be hard to pay down the debt.

Since then, Obama, Trump, and now biden all are not going to even try to balance the budget. Frankly our debt interest at this point probably makes it impossible to do that without sending our economy into a crushing recession. Another term of trump wasn't going to be any different in that regard.
