Meh....
The job of a candidate is to get elected. The job of the office they hold after they get elected is completely different.
If you take anything a candidate says at face value, they are not letting you down. You are letting yourself down.
We have plenty of reasons to critique Trumps presidency. We don’t have to rely on BS common political practices that existed way before him, and will continue to exist long after he is gone.I only read thread titles and my own posts.

Well the first two years Republicans controlled the the presidency, senate and house. In those years they never passed an infrastructure bill. They passed tax cuts and failed to pass a health care bill.
After the Democrats won the house in the midterms Trump brought up the idea of infrastructure bill for the first time. The Democrats refused to pass anything that funded more construction on the border wall and Trump refused to back down. Democrats also wanted a large infrastructure bill that Republicans were uncomfortable with, as spending money to benefit common people is not a Republican trait.
In the end it all fell apart but if he really wanted to pass it Republicans could have easily passed the infrastructure bill in the first two years.Any posts made are purely fictional in nature and by no means is anything I say to be taken seriously. Any and all pictures I post are pictures widely available on the internet and any discussions I am involved in are purely hypothetical or are commentary in nature and should not constitute advice or be considered advice.

No, no, no, we don't socialize, we invest. When you're a state growing so fast you're picking up a representative in the next reapportionment, you have to invest in that growth and bring the existing infrastructure up to par with the larger population. We're not some 2nd-rate state like NY, CA, IL, MI, MN, RI which will each lose a representative for the '22 election. I'm guessing you're in a state that doesn't need expanded infrastructure because its not growing enough to earn an additional rep next year.
Besides, it's not as though we don't have the highest gas tax in the region, so we are paying for the state's share of that roadwork...maybe that's why NY's section of I95 is such a mess...because they don't want to contribute anything toward their own infrastructure, so they don't get those matching federal funds...I'm #12 in Y2J's "club"...and I'm scared.
This week on The Buff and the Beautiful: Colleen comes up with a new scheme to win over Carlos. But first she has to gain the trust of her captor.

Well our democratic leaders put it off for 50 years but now every bridge and road in the state is currently being rebuilt at a cost of around 5 billion over the next 10 years (will probably be double that). Not by choice mind you, but because literally every bridge/major road in the state is deficient and simply cannot be used safely anymore. A substantial portion was/will be federal money and new tolls.
