If this is the kind of advice you are getting on your diet and exercise, I shudder to imagine the horrifying exercises that you are doing in the gym.
I swear by my life and my love of it that I will never live for the sake of another man, nor ask another man to live for mine.
Our only limitations are the ones we accept.
Seeing how much I can increase strength, endurance, and athletic performance while maintaining approximately 190 lbs and single digit bf.

^ This. Whey protein is 4cals per gram. Carbs 4cals/gram, Fat 9cals/gm, alcohol i think is 7cals/gm. If you eat too much protein it can set you up for making fat. Generally speaking, though, whey protein is a very clean source of energy.
If you're taking whey and putting on fat, it's because the rest of your diet is off. But yes, technically eating too much whey can contribute to getting fat. Realistically? It won't.

Its not that stupid of a question I honestly I hear it every single day people at work ask me on a daily basis why do you drink that stuff it puts weight on you. You said your dieting to lose weight. And here at a nursing home I can see how some could come to believe that it does make you gain weight. The residents get 2 scoops beneprotein in their juice. What ppl don't realize our juice servings are 280cal/8oz so 1 morning drink is 480 calories! Some get 3 -4 a day. Plus their meals. But as for the question whey will not make you fat. It is simply protein.
