Why do people cope and say SoCal sucks ?

By Central coast I'm guessing you further north. I often wonder about Northern California, seems no one talks about those parts. Sounds like Socal, LA, San Francisco, and San Diego have the entire state hostage

Personal preference j suppose, I lived in socal and many other places in the USA. For me socal was the worst, weather was nice, but the pollution, taxes, cost of living, limited gun rights, chit politics, crime, ect vastly outweighs the good weather.

LA is like the hugest local migration city in America. LA is super industrious, and takes to a normal global phenomenon of urbanization from rural areas. It's a population hub you go to for opportunity to which your income and living expenses are inflated.

NorCal is the more laid back social climate with much colder weather and outdoorsmanship. More known for its vineyards and marijuana counties as you get closer to Oregon. It's a lifestyle hub where you go to for arts or extreme sports or to get high all day to which living expenses tend to be inflated but without the expected rise in income.

I lived in San Diego around 7 years (left a little over 2 years ago). There's definitely things about it I like, but imo its also quite overrated and definitely not worth the COL.

central coast is kinda tough though, lots of cities it's either you're retired there, you work for the city, you work for the school district/university or you work in some service industry

Honestly Nor Cal has a lot more going for it. Less traffic, you experience the seasons more, summers typically aren't so hot, the area doesn't revolve around Hollywood, and the people aren't so superficial. So Cal has the most losers who think they're hot chit.
