Plan to keep working as long as I'm physically able to. It's the getting out of the house and contributing to society that'll hopefully extend my will to live longer and keep me feeling useful.
atm slowly setting things up towards that life. Living 10 min walk away from work, doing something I enjoy, and getting paid enough to live comfortably and save a little, get paid more each year for same or less work hours, and having good workmates. Either I'm coping and pretty foolish and unambitious, or balanced work-life and I'm onto something real special here.

prob sell my shares of the company before I'm 50 and get out of the every day nonsense. I'll have the means to retire then but I doubt I will fully. Thinking about going back to consulting. Was fun, made good money doing it and if I want to take 2 months off it's not a problem as long as all contracts are wrapped up.

I think you have the definition wrong. F you money is when you can walk around in life being a prick and people will put up with it. Its not about having a corporate job with a boss and still going and being able to act differently because you can retire.
and LOL and most saying 55 in this thread. Funny how everyone says it but in real life you rarely see people doing it. I guess everyone's definition of retire is also different. But for me, if I retire at 55, i want to ensure i have mid 8 figures.

I am retired for over 5 years. I have two small kids so I enjoy family life. When the kids are older I might start a new project, but I don't have to. For now I'm doing a lot of reading and learning in online courses. It was great timing because I get to experience my kids growing up, like most dads can't.

The year 3000. I bet not much will change. Except everyone will live underwater. And your great great great granddaughter will be pretty fine op.

If I become a doctor I like to think I'd work into my late 60's-early 70's. Some of the doctors I see that age are so knowledgeable they just cruise through work and still pull in that bank.

31 years old at 2.8 million right now.
Will work part time starting at 45 or 5 million, whichever comes first.Survival. When the jungle tears itself down and builds itself into something new. Guys like you and me, we end up dead. Doesn’t really mean anything. Or, if we happen to live through it, well that doesn’t mean anything either.
