Just read some of Napoleon hills books and it really opened up my eyes. I’ve realized most of my failures came from being a drifter and not having mastery over self. Any good books that out that give actual information that applies in real life ?

Mike Tyson the undisputed truth.
Arnold Schwarzenegger - education of a bodybuilder & total recall.
Franco Columbu - Coming on strong.
Those are my favorites. But i also love autobiographies of boxers since they went through brutal training and fighting sessions.
Sugar ray leonard, roberto duran. All good autobiographies as well.Last edited by backinthegymbro; 10-12-2020 at 06:27 PM.

This and the Bible. I would also say Maximum Achievement by Brian Tracy for putting a plan to life too.
I've read a lot of books over the past couple years. Most are pretty useless besides the above three. The Bible is by far the most influential and I didn't start reading it until 3 years ago. The other two are just some practices I put into life that worked well for me.

The autobiographies i read is just to learn from successful people. They always share wisdom. You get to see how determined they were, how hard they worked, how they thought etc.
It's different from those self help books.
I rather take advice from successful people rather than an author who got rich selling self help books. Unless he's writing a book on how to write a self help book on how to get rich like him.Cobra Kai never dies!

The Wretched of the Earth - Franz Fanon
He is pretty much the smartest black writer I've read. He accurately encapsulates what every non-white feels towards whites in the west.
“Once their rage explodes, they recover their lost coherence, they experience self-knowledge through reconstruction of themselves; from afar we see their war as the triumph of barbarity; but it proceeds on its own to gradually emancipate the fighter and progressively eliminates the colonial darkness inside and out. As soon as it begins it is merciless. Either one must remain terrified or become terrifying—which means surrendering to the dissociations of a fabricated life or conquering the unity of one’s native soil. When the peasants lay hands on a gun, the old myths fade, and one by one the taboos are overturned: a fighter’s weapon is his humanity. For in the first phase of the revolt killing is a necessity: killing a European is killing two birds with one stone, eliminating in one go oppressor and oppressed: leaving one man dead and the other man free;”

Accounting, finance and investment educational books so that you can manage your money well and make more money from it. I’d go with the more textbook style educational ones which deal with facts, laws, practises, technicalities, strategies etc that you can put to use.

Atlas shrugged.
Commies and lazy people hate it because the message is basically "you are a product of your work".
Its kinda crazy how the covid scamdemic was handled similarly to how the society devolved in the book, where resources were distributed by "needs" and not buy who actually earned/produced the wealth.
The books gets extremely dy in the beginning.
If anything, read the ~30 page monologue by (i think john galt) at the end of the book.

Ageless Memory - Harry Lorayne - Just some basic memory techniques/tricks to help you remember things. Simple tricks that have helped me remember names, memorize lists, and remember long chains of numbers like credit cards and phone numbers. Really changed how I do simple tasks so I never have to worry about where I left my keys or other objects.
Still apply this book to everyday life. Here's a simple example of how you'd apply the technique taught in the book. It's nothing amazing but it works. Say you're watching something like Top Chef and you want to learn all of the contestants names. They have a guy named Stu who wears something ugly, I'll think "That guy has a Stupid hat" Now i'll think Stupid hat and be like oh yeah that's Stu. Then there's a bunch of other techniques to make it a lasting memory.ϟ CHARGERS CREW ϟ
