I can't believe Biden actually stated "no they don't deserve to know" when asked about telling the public about packing the Supreme court. Then comes out the next day and states we will know his opinion after the election.

Do the voters deserve to know?

Trump has changed the rules for governing, he is taking a page out of the "Trumpism" book on doing things in the Federal Gov't.
Why be super transparent( the old way) when the other guy isn't, no seriously, think about that? There is an unspoken thing, we are iron brothers and sisters, we are to support each other and...It is our duty to support our brothers and sisters in the iron game!

Well here in the nations capital there were traditional ways of doing things, call them accepted norms. TRUMP came in and said fk that, I am doing it my way and guess what, others may follow since he has gotten away with "murder" politically speaking.
Cliffs: Why do it the old way when you can do it the Trump way in 2021? Following rules and norms is soo 2016....There is an unspoken thing, we are iron brothers and sisters, we are to support each other and...It is our duty to support our brothers and sisters in the iron game!

Read your post carefully and think about what you just said.
You just stated that what Trump should do, all your buddies on the left are against. The other side is AGAINST tradition in politics, at least that’s what they claim anyway, who says “Trump wants to take us backwards”?????
Btw to answer the thread question, No they don’t....... right Elrond!!!

I don't hate Trump but, like you, I like the fact that he's not a career politician. And I like the way he occasionally handles the @$$HAT media.
And I'm sure many people will disagree with this (fine: agree to disagree), but I really thinks that he cares about what's best for the nation and TRYS to do right by the nation.

He's an *sshole, but he's our *sshole!
And, yes, of course we should know the Democratic candidates position on court packing.

Well, see he treats the country like his business, this is good but not good because HE wants to be #1, and he'll own the country if we let him, he is still looking out for him and his family.
So, going forward we need more like him in future leadership roles.
Trump is a lesson learned, its what we should have as a country, but it can't continue to be him, we need his breed of man.

Biden doesn't want voters to know that he'll add judges to the supreme court.
Trump didn't want voters to know how hazardous Covid-19 was.
Dr. Fauci (public servant) and health organizations didn't want the public to know that masks helped because they didn't want mask shortages among frontline doctors.
I'm surprised that you get surprised

On the campaign trail he said he would be so busy in the White House that he would not have time to play golf. Each golf game costs the American taxpayer 3 million dollars and he plays every week. He's not "draining the swamp," if he's not golfing he's watching TV, documented at 9 hours a day.

The thing is many cried about every little thing Obama did. Those same people now say things like "hes an azzhole but hes our azzhole" and excuse or Trumpsplain every little thing he does.
Anyone else 2020!!
@Payton
Oh, I don't like the fact he's not a career politician. Not that that's a bad thing, per se, but that's akin to picking someone to fix my transmission that isn't a career mechanic. I think experience matters for POTUS (I know crazy, right). That said there should be term limits on all positions including the Supreme Court, IMO.
There's almost nothing I actually like about him but being in the NYC news umbrella growing up, working in and around NYC for years, and having a former colleague who worked for him directly for years (now works in the WH) I've known who this scum bag was for too long. It's no secret now as much as already come out but it amazes me how many just don't care. Funny thing is I have some mutual friends of Jr and they've all said he's actually pretty cool and not a lot like is father.
I understand why some support him because he's not Biden and he's a block for some of the loony left ideas, and has a bit of Republican policy in him but he's no fuking conservative. I don't get why any one supports HIM.
If its about stress testing than yes. All systems should be tested and then fixed or scrapped. Our Constitution is a living document that must change as we change. Our system must evolve w/us and the world. Just saying "we've always done that" isn't the answer. So, I do like that he challenges the system and I LOVE watching the left not know how to handle it. I HOPE that forces changes to ensure our system can handle these types of tests. What I also LOVE is knowing Trump wont always be in power and once the left takes control how the right will be forced to eat crow like the left is doing know. But I generally despise both sides equallyLast edited by Jtbny; 10-13-2020 at 08:56 AM.

The first paragraph, I blame the people of this country not really the president, an example is those tariffs, steel went overseas before a Trump, if America wants to produce steel again, it can, but people gotta pay, most won’t. Many American business owners have done things that hurt America just for profit, I blame them, not President.
Obama knew nothing about working, in fact he continued to disrespect business owners, “you didn’t build that”? Tell that to the folks who came home after midnight to a dinner plate in the oven and wife and kids who never saw them that day.
I understand though , the average employee has little to no respect for the sacrifices thier company owner made.
And more so I was right about x trainer Ben.

Which is probably why he doesn't want to talk about it until after the election.
It might also depend on how the current Supreme Court hearings go. I doubt that the topic would have come up at all if not for the dishonesty of the Republican leadership over the Merrick Garland nomination. As L. Graham said in 2016, "Use my words against me."
Ok, people like to say "actions have consequences." If one party is going to abuse the system, it will eventually come back to bite them.“Those who can make you believe absurdities, can make you commit atrocities.”

The Constitution is NOT a living document. It is a LEGAL document. It says what it says. It does what it does.
You despise both sides equally. GREAT! You should. I do.
You ended up despising both sides because you see the truth - That both sides are corrupt to the core. And do you know why we got to this point?
Because of the belief that the Constitution is a living document. This above all..
To thine ownself be true..
And it must follow, as the night the day..
Thou can'st not then be false to any man..

I'm not going to box myself in arguing for Obama. There is much in his policies I didn't like. The truth is I preferred McCain if not for Palin. I will argue the hypocrisy each side has though. It's mind boggling.
Just take your own statement here "Obama knew nothing about working". If you hold that opinion about Obama then you should apply that same standard to Trump, who was born on 3rd base and his sycophants cheer him for making it to home base. He knows nothing of the common American except how to fleece them.
You're right about jobs/manufacturing. The problem is, if you argue solely on letting the free market do its thing, you have to expect this outcome. Which is it - free market good, free market bad? You could argue that the market here is too regulated and I'd be on board, somewhat, and there are good arguments on both sides. However, the markets these companies go to his far too lax.
I think most would love to have products made here. My entire gym is all USA made equipment and I've paid more for it. I wish it were as simple as saying bring it back while keeping things affordable while keeping the companies profitable to the liking of their shareholders. Its super complicated and NO POTUS can solve it, IMO.Last edited by Jtbny; 10-13-2020 at 08:52 AM.

Not true..........
Trump’s father actually put him to work very early, Trump learned a lot about work from that experience.
Trump and his father didn’t agree, Trumps father reused supplies that Donald learned early because he was put to work that was the wrong way.
Also something else you missed was that Donald’s older brother Fred was the 3rd base son, however Fred had a alcohol problem and his passion was not what his fathers was, Fred was a pilot.
Donald was put to work early as a kid on the construction site and then he was forced to work in a small office for his father and he hated it. Trump may of gotten the loan from Dad but he used that money against dad while his brother Fred was put on the shelf by dad.
