There are several reasons but I want to focus one issue in particular that has been brought up by other posters, the family unit. The greatest contributor to juvenile delinquency, the development of anti-social personality disorders and future criminality is single motherhood and the lack male father figures. The black community suffers from this the worst, yet Black Lives Matters parrots attacks on the nuclear family that echo Frederick Engels in "The Principle's Of Communism". Think about the irony, corporate America and white liberal America are supporting an organization whose values are antithetical to the long term solution for black progress. If you break down a group of people and dissolve their ability to be self sustaining while also offing a means of support.. what have you done? You've made them dependent on you for life. I feel like everybody, literally every adult, knows there’s a huge problem in the black community with fathers not being around and yet so few people talk about it. It’s something that leaders in the black community need to constantly talk about. Because white people arent allowed to mention it.

I just saw someone post the other day that roughly 80% of black kids are in single parent homes. Is that true? Last I saw the statistic it was 70%. 80% is fukking crazy. And to think it was around 20% before the civil rights movement. What changed in black men?

Well look at how they treat every black person who doesn't want to fall in line with their ideology. No other racial group does that, they all seem to have some basic level of respect for people who don't want to fit the stereotype norms and have some diversity of thought. 2306 black people in prison per 100,000 black people. It says people but not men specifically, but it's also from 2010 so maybe that number has gone up as well since then. Let's just call it 3% for argument's sake

Now, what % of black men are fathers? I'm not sure how to look that up. But if 3% of black men are in prison, can you really use that as an argument of why a lot of black kids grow up without a father figure in their life?

To your point, we absolutely incentivize single motherhood. For people who don't use the welfare, they may not be aware of just how much you can squeeze out of it. My sister's tenant has two kids and no official job. She get $1200 a month for housing, plus SNAP, free medical coverage for herself and her kids. Gets some under the table cash doing childcare or whatever and you're on easy street.

this is actually one of the reasons I was ok with expanded maternity coverage that most conservative were reflexively against. About time we incentivize working mothers who contribute to have kids, rather than just the unemployed.
