I love the OWL on my mk18. I think it looks awesome, and not too big.

Modlite setup I just got was $450 all in including tape switch and mount. $350 for the OWL isn’t bad at all cause the integrated switch. A good weapon light is crucial for positive identification on a duty or defensive weapon. If you just shoot for fun, then yea not a priority. I think it’s definitely worth it to get something that will last hard use.
Streamlight HLX is decent on a budget, I think it’s like $120 or so.
I personally think the OWL is too heavy and looks chunky AF, didn’t buy it purely for aesthetic reasons.Browns/Indians/Cavs/Buckeyes

I saw someone post that and said the same thing. I can’t do it. I have a couple SureFire G2X 600’s. One in a cheap Magpul mount and I can’t remember the other, more expensive one. Lights like $70. Even if you spend $100 on a mount, it’s still half the price. I haven’t had any issues with the light, or either mount. Still plenty bright.
If any “essential” part of the rifle (gun, optic, light, sling) is going to be on a budget, I feel like spending half on a light (still spending $100-200 so not even that cheap) is the most acceptable for me.Everything depends upon execution; having just a vision is no solution.
Performance and performance alone dictates the predator in any food chain.

thats basically how it should be, but it appears that in alot of cases the woman thinks shes the boss and can tell her husband/boyfriend what to do. the mans money is her money, and she will not under any circumstances have a gun in the house because guns kill.
i would dump a girl like that immediately
$360 is definitely more than i was expecting. a good set of canted iron sights are several hundred dollars as well. by the time i build out an AR to be exactly what i want it to be itl be fukn 5-6K...Merica

Buy once, cry once. Almost have a rifle worth of stuff in my spare parts bin of stuff I’ve replaced. Would have saved money in the long run just buying what I really wanted the first time.
But a decent rifle light doesn’t have to $400. Wouldn’t go any lower than streamlight offerings though. RM2 looks cool and it’s $140 ishBrowns/Indians/Cavs/Buckeyes

At the in-laws for the weekend.
Country life seems so nice and relaxing with all these trees and land.
I brought my GLAWKs, they don’t shoot but my sister in laws husband does. I’m gonna see if We can shoot tomorrow when he comes. Didn’t bring ammo so I’m peppering my angus at the prices out here in middle of nowhere Ohio
It’ll be my first time shooting outdoor, seems too freedom tbh“Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety.” - Benjamin Franklin

So I've been out of the game for a little bit, moved off the property j had where I actually got to shoot.
Now I only have handguns and shotguns.
Any suggestion on where I can grab a low middle tier ar-15 that isn't super inflated in price, or simply not in stock?
Kind of want a "pistol," but only ever built 1 rifle, and vaguely remember the pressure differences w the barrel differences making them less reliable for cycling? Probably gonna elect for a prebuilt, but I'm so out of the game these days I dunno what to aim for or shy away from.
Ideally I'd like to stay under 700 minus sights.

Now is the time to either wait and hope Trump wins or, the safer option, buy a high end or top shelf rifle as the premium stuff hasn't gone up in price. People panic buy bottom up.
How about a Geissele at 20% off?
This could be $1,605 with my coupon code
If one of you ***gots doesn't pony up and use a code to buy a Geissele I'm just going to sell the damn coupon on an EE somewhere
https://geissele.com/super-duty-rifle-16-od-green.html
Superb rifles, worth the price at 20% off
I may be bias I got one for 35% off ($1,180 for a DDC Super Duty) and a second for 20% off
