This is why it won't be happening all at once. And, why there is a strategic plan to open States based on Federal guidelines.
This link shows the schedule of States and when they will open for business.

Mate, pointing out what a consistently wrong dullard you were (and continue to be), isn't gloating.
You do know they call it a "novel" virus not because it's a novelty, right? It's latin, meaning new. That means that no one has any preexisting antibodies against this at all. If you come into contact with it you will likely develop it. Herd immunity kicks in around 60% of the population, so 200M would be about right. Now that's a novelty, that you got something right, even if inadvertently.

History has shown us the earliest and most aggressive response will come back strongest, and NY wasn't the earliest or most aggressive so probably not... but they will be one of the top ones. On the world stage Germany had the earliest and most aggressive response and they're starting to open up their economy tomorrow.

So 3K people didnt die on 9/11 because of terrorist attack. Because alot of those people jumped off the buildings. They were suicides.
LMFAO!
40K is actually way less than actual #s. Home deaths without testing are not counted. Home deaths jumped 400% last month. It must be the cold/flu bro...------->TRUMP LOST BY LANDSLIDE and BIDEN IS YOUR PRESIDENT<--------

So let's develop that herd immunity then, instead of spraying ourselves down with lysol.
And he's been gloating over the death toll day after day, while having this fantasy in his head that Obama the great would have waved some magic wand, and stopped this virus dead in its tracks.....Last edited by Dave22reborn; 04-19-2020 at 07:56 PM.

Genius idea. Let's do that. What could be the worst that could happen? A completely overwhelmed healthcare system, where people with covid won't be able to get treatment, nor will anyone who has an accident, a cardiac arrest, appendicitis... do I have to continue?:
Get it through your fat head dave, the choice isn't between deaths/no deaths. It's not between functional economy/non-functional economy (that's baked in regardless). It's between a healthcare system that will be overwhelmed and unable to provide basic medical services.
Fck me dead, I can't believe I have to keep repeating this basic fact.My personal pronouns are: Don't talk to me/Fck off

40k died in a month despite the fact we completely shut down our economy and everyone was locked in their rooms.
The numbers would have been much higher especially since hospitals would have been overwhelmed at some point.
With that said, I think with some level of herd immunity and a good amount of social distancing we can safely begin to re-open the country. I am fairly confident the number of people that were infected have some level of immunity (and therefore can't get it again and be a carrier) is FAR greater than the media reports. My brother in law had it (tested positive), but his wife (who got sick) and 5 kids were never tested yet they were all exposed and likely would have tested positive at some point. And that doesn't count the many people/families that never even got tested.
I am confident that when the economy re-opens we are not going to see another massive outbreak. Maybe a few mini-outbreaks here and there but nothing on the scale of what happened in January through April.“Israel in the Middle East is fighting on behalf of the free world,” declared Mosab Hassan Yousef, the outspoken son of Hamas leader Hassan Yousef.
