I appreciate ops loss and I understand the purpose of this thread.
The title and general feel of the thread is way too confrontational to get the desired point across.
There is no place for I told you sos right now

See I would love to but I don't have that luxury, since I work at a major hospital taking care of my patients, trying my best to contain this mess so that you can go back to your pathetic life as fast as possible without fear of ending up ventilated in my ICU.
I feel so sorry for you.. having to sit at home watching free porn all day in your parent's house, must be tough.
Maybe spend less time crying about government overreach on alt accounts and more about lifting weights? Wild concept I know.*Tolerance is the lube that slides the dildo of dysfunction into the ass of civilized society*

Isolate the ones at risk. If you are scared of catching the virus, stay the **** at home. No one's forcing you to go outside. The people who do decide to resume their daily lives should assume risk. It's not like people will break in your house to cough on you. Which could very well happen if we are shut down for more than 3 more months
Consolidate and organize healthcare to separate CO-VID patients and non CO-VID patients to ensure space for those in urgent need to stop spreading the disease as well as contain the disease via use of different facilities
Employ proper testing that decreases false positive rate
Acquire more ventilators.
Whatever it is, keeping the economy from contracting as much as possible is just as important.
Did you get a doctorate too?
You want to clown all of the well versed PhD's/CDC/WHO on the subject matter, so explain to me what we medical professionals don't know since all we do is "pump up with pills and vaccines" and apparently don't understand medical science like you do. Essential oils? Some garlic, bro? Is that what I fail to understand?
Yeah, the current government administration knew about Covid back in October, did nothing to prepare for it and just called it a "hoax". That's 100% true, I saw it live on TV and that's where your anger should be directed.
I keep seeing chit talk about those of us that are actually out here doing something about the sick, meanwhile you cry like little children about having to stay inside for a while rent free and safe.
Grow up and take off the tin foil hats.▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ஜ۩۞۩ஜ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬

I think governments are taking advantage, but I don't think the danger is fake. And I don't think the shutdowns are part of governments taking advantage. I don't see how any government has any incentive to destroy their economy (And I wont deny that shutdowns are damaging the economy. Obviously they are.) if there is no danger. Let alone every government in the world being aligned in the exact same fraud. I think they are just opportunistic slimeballs. But that doesn't mean COVID-19 isn't real and isn't dangerous.

It's not that I don't take it seriously as it is that I'm not around anyone susceptible to it nor am I. If my grandmother who died a few months ago was still alive I'd probably be freaking out. My friend's mom has serious health problems and she is scared to even go see her mom.
To say "they had underlying conditions" or "they were old anyways" is coming from someone who is being rather selfish or trying to cope, not sure, every case is different, but at a minimum it's really not being very sensitive.

I honestly don't have any idea how susceptible I am to it. I have exercise induced asthma. Does that mean I'll be one of the people on a vent? I kinda doubt I would be tbh, but I'm not pumped to find out.
I don't think it's funny at all. I think its sad and people are going to die as a result.workout log(April 2020 edition): https://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=178296981

Sorry for your loss, OP.
My parents called me today, saying they really want me to visit town for Easter. I said I'll think about it but I'll tell them later I will stay put. They're in the early 60's range and neither have any major complications or significant chronic diseases but I'm not going to take the chance...Go Canucks Go!

I'm sorry for your loss. *bow*
I have an elderly mother (84) living away from my family, who has a medical condition. I always worry about her long before this corona business. Now I 'm really worried about her health and condition. When the phone rings my heart freezes for an eternity in a single second imagining the worst. For me it's never someone else's problem.🌺 Lauren Brooks Kelly (snailsrus) - Jul 25, 1991 – Jan 29, 2022

Sorry for you loss OP
For everyone else, please keep your comments civil, and to the discussion in the OP. Anything else you would like to discuss can be done in our many other threads about Covid...Unless you would like to spend your quarantine at ban camp. In short, have a little class, and respect folks.

Thank you, but please don't delete/ban/infract based on peoples comments towards me.
I appreciate the gesture, but I don't think it helps the point I'm trying to make if opposition is silenced.
I'm a big boy and I knew full well how the misc would respond before I made this thread. I can take it, promise.workout log(April 2020 edition): https://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=178296981

I'm so sorry for your loss mate, you have my upmost condolences. My mother also recently (couple of months back) was diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes and I'm honestly scared chitless since I'm out of town for specific reasons. Plus she's like 50+ years old so it just makes it even worse.
if you need someone to chat with, don't hesitate to shoot me a PM.

Sorry for your loss, but it is just the flu. Breaking news, influenza kills tens of thousands of people every season. A shame that lots of people are realizing the hard way that being unhealthy puts you at a greater risk of death, who would have thought...
