Going on fb and 3 people my age and younger that I personally know are in the hospital on oxygen because they've been worsening. We aren't a hard hit state either

we aren't accelerating at the same rate as we were two weeks ago though, which is good news.

the bad news is that we're still adding about 30,000 new cases daily. that's a lot! and especially when the case fatality rate is now 5.1% -

with about 200,000 new americans getting infected every week, that means every week more than 10,000 new americans are getting a death sentence.

What do I wish for? Also, I probably already had it, had a real nasty cold about a month and a half ago. Lasted about 7 days, followed by 7 days of the worse dry cough I ever had, then I was fine.

The number of new cases won't really start to drop anytime soon since the testing is ramping up.

Here in NY the amount of people getting hospitalized, needing Intonations etc.. are WAY down.

New York has definitely hit it's peak. There will still be 500-700 people dying a day for a few more days but by next week I think the number of deaths will start to drop.

Unless there is another major city about to have a massive outbreak the overall number of deaths will drop once NY sees a drop since we account for most of the deaths in this country.
