I never gave those other "pandemics" a 2nd thought. This time, I was seeing vlogs from people in China before the media was on the story, warning how bad things were getting there and that there was no way it was going to be contained in Wuhan. That's what made me a bit concerned. It was as if the whole world was ignoring the story in the middle of January, even while very disturbing videos were coming out of China showing people being dragged away by police in protective gear.

What are the chances this is a bio-weapon released by the globalists to kill off only older Americans before the November election? I feel like they'd do it in a heartbeat if it meant beating Trump.

It's speculated by some (conspiracy theorists?) that this is a bio weapon dropped by the globalists to:
1. Bring down the GLOBAL economies.
2. Bring about even more of a surveillance state in China, and possibly the US.
3. Roll out a mandatory vaccine
Experts like Francis Boyle have stated this virus contains a SARS signature, a MERS (Middle East Respiratory Syndrome) signature and an HIV signature, any one of which can attack your body. When your body tries to create antibodies against any one of those three signatures your body can be attacked by one of the other two. That's why it's so much worse than the flu.

If it's a bio-weapon, then these are the most likely scenarios in my opinion, in decreasing order of likeliness.
1) Chinese research virus that escaped containment by accident.
2) Canadian virus stolen by Chinese who didn't realize what they had and were careless handling it.
3) Degenerate Chinese maintenance worker found a dead animal in the lab and smuggled it out to make food out of it. Animal was infected.
4) Bio-weapon Iranians were interested in buying from China to use on USA in response to us pink misting that terrorist SOB of theirs. They somehow flubbed the demo and infected somebody in the lab, who in turn infected Wuhan and the Iranians."Buy a man eat fish, the day, teach man, to lifetime." - Joe Biden

I mean, yeah. They basically shut down their entire country to achieve that.
It's not really practical to do that for every outbreak if this is going to be an ongoing thing, but Italy appears to be conceding that it's their best option.
If Seattle or New York go the same way, we are gonna get economically hatefukked by this thing.Nah, fukk that. I’m not doing that.

Homemade hand sanitizer: isopropyl alcohol, water, tiny bit of bleach, some essential oil for scent.
Get some small spray bottles from Amazon.

There are so many nut jobs in this thread. I'm all for a good conspiracy, however the thing is this has been here for months in the U.S. and since we just started testing for it we are realizing there are cases everywhere even in random places (Not a lot of deaths and if there are it was originally chalked up to pneumonia or the flu). Explain why most of these cases popping up aren't in major metro areas? Most likely because it was already there early January February and has spread out to the outskirts.
Fact is yes this thing sucks, no it won't be the end of the world. We are all gonna make it, just stay healthy, eat right, and take your vitamins. People are overhyping the economic impact. This won't cause a recession. Investors and CFOs know what's going on. If a company has to revise their earning as a result of what's happened in China, they put out a statement in advance so that analysts aren't caught off guard. The only reason the market fluctuated wildly last week (but still finished up on the week) is due to speculators. The fundamentals of the economy are sound. If Wuhan affects 1 or 2 quarters, it's not a big deal. If people get layed off, it's temporary. Sure, some people will be wiped out, but people on the margins get wiped out even without the Wuhan virus. Sooner or later, things will get back to normal.
TBH, If I was still in the market, last week's huge plunges would have looked like blinking green lights to me to buy some bargains. That's what the smart money did."Buy a man eat fish, the day, teach man, to lifetime." - Joe Biden

I'm not necessarily on board with the optimistic outlook here, though I agree with buying more because someday it'll look cheap.
Boeing is squarely in the crosshairs of this thing, and they're not alone. Stocks don't automatically move entirely on fundamentals and markets are still pricing in "it's just the flu" assumptions about the limits of this problem and the odds it'll fizzle.
Shutting down supply chains through Seattle or through California ports, or cutting off a good chunk of the New York consumer market for weeks will have unpredictable knock-on effects. Yes, "sooner or later" things will get back to normal, but look at China. Spinning back up is slow going.
Seems like scaring people into washing their hands more isn't working and the next biggest hammer in the current toolbox is crippling a region.Last edited by ANumber1; 03-07-2020 at 05:36 PM.
