How often do you have to lift in order to preserve muscle while cutting?

I'm doing OMAD with about a 1200 calorie per day deficit and I'm concerned about losing muscle after my winter bulk. During my winter bulk I was doing a 3 day split hitting each muscle once per week. Would continuing this be enough to not lose any muscle gains during my cut? Or should you be going more? Or okay to go less?

Typically less volume is required to maintain muscle than build it...so when I cut I usually drop my frequency while keeping intensity high.

Maintaining the same training during your cut that you ran on your bulk should be fine.

If his age is correct, OP would have been 15/16 at join date. I'll assume joke.

Yea it's named after the t-shirt that some guys wear at the gym. If you don't like it take it up with whoever named the t-shirt. I was also 15 when I made the account like the guy said. And no I don't have a wife.

Thanks for all the useful answers to my question snowflakes.

Blames a shirt company, blames his age, takes no personal responsibility.

I am at approximately 1,000 calories per day on a 2,000 maintenance (I'm short). Macros I don't fully count but I do low carb when cutting to avoid hunger spikes (figure C20, P40, F40)

I'm not blaming anything and there's nothing to take responsibility for as I don't apologize for anything. I think you should work on the fact that something like a person's username on a forum upsets you and sets you off. That's pretty sad especially for someone who is 50 years old.

If you've been a member for 15 years you should know about the f'ed up age algorithm for users who joined up recently. Something wrong with the site. Anyone who joined in the last couple years shows "50" for their age, next year it'll be 51 etc.

1000kcal per day TOTAL? That's insanely low.
