Even guys that are bigger than me, saw some guy barely getting sets of 3 and dude was like 25-30lbs more than me.
Perhaps 2 plate bench is decent (in general). Also saw some black brah was struggling 230lbs 5x5 and dudes arms are at least 2 inches bigger than me, dude is pretty damn jacked.

Size and strength are not directly correlated. You can train strictly for strength and get those bench numbers up but you wont gain too much size. Or you can gain size without so much strength using light weights and higher volume.
Most people go for a middle ground, but not everyone cares about strength. I have a friend who's been lifting for ten years, I'm stronger than him on day one. He doesnt care about strength doesnt lift for strength. If you looked at him you would think he was much stronger than me.

I always look around too. I observe everything. Oh there is that guy with the imaginary lat syndrome. How come they are always fat? Is it armpit fat that makes them do that sht??? Oh there is that weird old lady that probably has 20 cats at home, don't make eye contact!!! I am so weirded out at the gym by other people and I notice them all, but never do I concern myself with what they do for a workout.

the cope is strong with you.
While practice is important this is the bench we are taking about. Every one does some version of bench.
No huge dudes in the gym are skipping the horizontal press.
And size of chest, shoulders and triceps is the biggest factor in bench strength. That's why there are weight classes.
Leave the manlet hate behind and actually start lifting then talk ish.Current max

I am almost completely just calisthenics. I'll be doing a full planche before 2021. Probably well before. Someone benching 6 plates, will not be able to do a planche at all. Unless they train for it. People lifting less than OP is just in progression. And yes, some guys look like they lift, without lifting. It's pretty good.

training for strength and benching to build chest are two different things
training for strength, you are using your entire body to drive the weight up (jack of all trades, master of none)
benching to build chest, you are focusing sorely on squeezing and contracting on the muscles rather on the weight

Depending on your weight, two plates is around the point where some level of technique becomes helpful, which most people don't have.
Ever since I solved my shoulder problems my bench has been flying up. Could probably hit 280x1 right now. Was hard stuck at 245 for months.ωσяℓ∂ тяανєℓєя ȼяєω
