Two things can be true:

- Some groups and individuals objectively have it "easier" than other groups when it comes to achieving success and enjoying a higher quality of life
- It is a defeatist waste of time to mull over this reality when you could be out there improving yourself, because for the most part everyone has sufficient raw capacity to achieve a certain minimum degree of happiness and success if they put in the necessary effort, even though it may be disproportionately "more"

A suicide attempt, is not necessarily a genuine attempt to end their life. Sometimes they are a 'cry for help'.

Unless people are genuinely proposing that women can't competently kill themselves. Women tend to choose paths to kill themselves that give them the option to 'bail out' at the last minute and call for help, or give them the change of being saved. Men tend to choose paths simply that they believe are more effective.

Men kill themselves globally (China being an exception when it's more even), at a ratio of Four or Three men for One woman.

I'm not minimizing the psychological suffering of women who do the 'cry for help' suicide attempts, but the mechanics of how to kill yourself effectively are well known to both genders. There is highly likely a reason why women attempt more, but don't succeed more, and it's not simply due to incompetence.

Also, women get diagnosed more with depression. That's diagnosed mental illness.

There are more male drug and alcohol addicts than women. That's likely self-medication for undiagnosed mental illness, people who are psychologically healthy, and living fulfilling lives, tend not to become addicts.

I've gone through severe psychological isolation, and I think I can spot it when I see it in other people... I've never got that sense from a really attractive woman... Literally not once.
