I'll check this out, Ketchum tends to have a very grim view of the male species lol
Oh man, Salo was horrible, I only finished it out of morbid curiosity. For shock-"torture-porn" I prefer films like Martyrs & A Serbian Film, great cinematography and far better acting. In Wolf Creek I actually found the antagonist to be the most likeable character.
I'll check out Harry Brown & Henry
Mum & Dad was a bit too over the top to take seriously, although I wanted to strangle the hell out of birdie! The Loved Ones is similar --- another great Australian horror. It's Ironic: For a country that has such a laid back, vanilla attitude; they come out with so many brilliantly dark filmshttp://www.********.com/valenzuelatech

Salo was so bad that I had to in some way conquer it by way of additional viewings, and then purchase of the film. In my own disgusted way, I am at peace with it now. A Serbian Film is another story altogether. There are two versions circulating, I saw the uncut version online. I went back a second time, and realize there is no cure for the psychological agony caused by this film. I am done with it, never again.
I have yet to see Martyrs, but will give it a go based on your recommendation. Unfortunately, it's not on Netflix streaming.“Any idiot can face a crisis, it is this day-to-day living that wears you out.” Anton Chekhov

Saw Chernobyl Diaries last night. Mostly shallow characters and some goofy dialogue, but it was still scary and kept my attention. 6/10.

I watched "The Lost" last night. It was definitely entertaining and pretty good (especially for a netflix instant horror). The guy playing the lead role was great.
7/10.---

just saw the divide
i was raging hard at some of the characters actions, esp that stupid bish, so much went wrong because of her
basically what seems to be a nuke goes off, and some tenants in an apartment complex hole up in a bomb shelter that was prepared in advance by the building superintendent. He didnt wanna let them in, the sheleter was supposed to be for him, but they bogard there way in. Then they get all pissy because hes mean, and all he has for them to eat is canned beans. Srsly, one of the ****s was so tired of eating beans he was gonna fight with the super, im all wtf?
long story short a black guy finds out the super has a secret room with supplies, threatens with taser, the girl(heroine) of the story sees the whole conflict and thats when **** goes downhill
movie gets a 5/10 for ****gy characters(srsly the only male that grabs his balls is the super, and hes the villain) and the woman(although everything woulda been smooth as butter had she not interfered).
all the characters in the movie could have died a slow painful death, i would not have gave 2 fuks. they tried to build some emotion but it just wasnt happening.See you, Space Cowboy.........

Watched the woman in black...very disappointed...not a single jump was seen that day. It was beautifly shot, but not even a decent camp scare in the whole movie. I really wanted to like it as I like Daniel Radcliffe. My girlfriend thought it was great go figure.

I watched "The Woman" - pretty good actually - doesn't move fast enough for me, yet I couldn't turn it off... fck, I couldnt even fast forward it... that being said, I'm not sure why... its not great, but it was pretty good... worth a watch
also watched the "Mother's Day" remake (usign the term loosely) - it was pretty violent and fcked up, which I liked, but the "good guys" were fckin tards and couldve gotten out of many of the situations so after soooo much of that I started to feel like "of fck for fcks sake come on wtf" nomsayin? violent tho - worth watchin i'd sayyou should read this

Funny story.
I watched the Movie when I was 15 years old. The night I watched I did not get a single minute of sleep. I just sat there on my couch and did not move; yes I was that scared. My parents woke up at 8 am for work and I was still sitting there. I was so scared, yet amazed at the same time that I was googling all day about the story. I found a old guy who was selling the cassettes which had the exorcism recorded for 5 euros. Never got to buy them because my parents wanted me to finally get a night of sleep. Still haunts me.
