IMO Event Horizon has got to be one of the scariest films I ever watched, it's not even a full Horror, more like Psychological Sci-Fi Horror. Last time I watched that film I was around 12-13 and I shat bricks that night.

I'm in my 20s now and I haven't had the chance to watch it again so its probably not even scary lolz

just finished "V/H/S", at first it started real slow and I was getting real annoyed with the douchebag college kids. Once the short films started going it began to get my attention, there's probably about 4 tapes/short films that you watch and each one is very different. Every short film is extremely bloody, overall I thought the the film as a whole was probably a bit above average. I think this is a hit or miss film for most, I think some of you may enjoy it, it deals with supernatural/creatures/slashers 7/10

agreed. The only chainsaw that disappointed was the one with zellwigger and mcconahgay (sp) - the next generation i think it was called.

I loved the original parts 1 and 2... part 3 was decent... I really enjoyed the re-make, and the prequel to the remake wasn't great - but delivered great violence.

for some reason I have a good feeling about this one.

I mean... it won't be any "the grudge" or "disturbia" - but those are classics

I thought part 2 was great, Dennis Hopper and the guy with the metal plate in his head were awesome.

The remakes were done really well too. I agree, no 3D for the new one either.

Dennis Hopper at the chainsaw store is an amazing scene... he rivals his performance in Blue Velvet in that scene... the way he stares at the saws... like a true psychopath through and through

ps... I had a free few hours last night and intended to watch horror movies.. but couldn't resist two animated superman movies on insta-play ... Superman vs the elite and All-Star Superman... the first was meh... but All-Star Superman... if you're a fan of comic books/cartoons - wow ... this was really good... decent first half, and some corny parts... but the end delivers hard.

but no thread hijack so ... I watched "Evolver" - R rated early 90's but feels like 80's robot killer movie... some reviews said it's a better chopping mall... PAH! I say... it didn't come close to the masterpiece that is chopping mall... but it gets pretty grizzly towards the end... 6.3/10 - good recommend if you're in mood for throwback cheese of the 80's/90's projecting what the future of robotics and entertainment would be

and speaking of which... wow... we're almost in 2013... all the classics of this genre have missed the mark... tech - as far as it has come... has not produced a robocop, or a Brainscan type video game... no murderers on death row became part of electric current upon being fried (ghost in the machine or Shocker) ... no android teachers (class of 1999), etc... damn.

Good taste. I recommend ISTD all the time in threads.

I need to get my girl to watch it with me again. She loves horror just not a fan of subtitles for the most part.
Seems Frontiers was better the second time around.

I loved the first tape, I think the 2nd one (where the couple is on vacation) was decent. After that they were kinda lame. But it's definitely worth watching.
