Been at incline for 6 months, started to plateau so went back to flat... tweaked shoulder within 4 weeks. Shoulder blades and elbows tucked, slight back arch, proper form. Not to mention less gains compared to sticking with incline, flies, and dips.

I think it’s good for building the chest, but you are correct you have to be very careful.
I make sure I warm up thoroughly, go slow and controlled at all times, and don’t focus on the weight for safety.
I also cycle for about a month with a focus on incline and then back to flat and so on. Seems to help with shoulder health.

I do it for dat dere powerlifting training. I'd like to try doing a meet in the next 6 months.
I used to wreck my shoulders on it all the time. Then I realized it was because my volume was through the roof. Been totally fine since I reduced it.ωσяℓ∂ тяανєℓєя ȼяєω

If it's not for you then it's not for you, but flat bench press is the best mass builder for me, I can't do incline presses anymore due to a rotator cuff injury I got during deadlifts with a wide grip, but I can do incline dumbell flies , bench press, and flat dumbell presses. I suck horribly at flat bench, pretty much to the point where I haven't done it in months. I do flat DB, incline bench/smith, floor press, dips, flies for chest. Technique just feels awkward on flat, and I always hit the bars on the way up when I lay back.
