There was awesome video game technology like the PlayStation or the Nintendo 64. Had Computers and going on the internet was awesome but there was no disgusting social media only chat rooms and message boards.
Computer games were also awesome in the 90's. We had cell phones so we could always call a friend but no smart phones so we weren't glued to them 24/7.
If you wanted a movie you had to go out and physically rent one, if you wanted music you had to go to a record store and browse the CD's.
If you wanted to hook up with a girl you had to physically talk to one or meet them at the club or a bar.
Televison was awesome for adult or kids with shows like seinfeld, X-Files then you had Nickelodeon at it's peak.
You had over the top testosterone action movies that were not worried about being PC.
The economy was great and gas was cheap. I could get a half a tank for $5.
Music was fuking amazing Nirvana, Sound Garden, Alice In Chains, Smashing Pumpkins etc...
had the Goat basketball shoes of all time people to this day still freak out over Jordan 11's.
The world was just more chill.

For how much less content, less advanced, and how much slower the internet was back then I sure enjoyed it more than I do now. Now there's so much more you can do with computers, and can bring up a web page in less than a second rather than minutes and I'm so bored that I don't know what to do. Then again, I could just be getting old too and need to find new things to excite me.

9/11 ruined society. That was the moment everything flipped and everyone started walking on their toes and looking behind their backs.
Also, life was great before the ******** and the iPhone. 2007 everything changed. All the normies got access to the internet and turned everything into a SJW field day. Fking sucksLast edited by deft0nes; 08-30-2019 at 07:34 PM.

My folks built a brand new 4 bedroom house in the city for $189k. It now costs $850k.
I remember my old man complaining about paying $300/mo for 0 deductible health insurance for a family of 6. Now I pay $650 just for me and have a $5500 deductible.
A 4 year degree at a state school was EXPENSIVE, my cousin took 5 years and racked up almost $30k of debt!
Most people were working 40 hours/week and most of my friends had stay at home moms
Here we are 20 years later and wages are the same.
