Hi, I have thoracic outlet syndrome and havent been able to lift for some time.
When lifting heavy my scalenes (which are oversized) pinch the nerves passing through them.
The surgery is to remove the anterior and middle scalenes.
It seems people in my situation recover well, but I wondered if any others who lift weights returned to lifting weights after this surgery?
Thanks!

Have you tried deep tissue therapy first? I work on this condition (TOS) all the time. Find a good sports massage therapist.
Here is a video I made on the subject. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x-TuJzPrsp8&t=343s
Thoracic Outlet Syndrome takes time to work out naturally (conservative treatment), and is worth a try before surgery.
If surgery is your only option I hope the best for you. Doctors do amazing work today.http://www.hollandreflexology.com/
