Hand timed myself in 4.37.

If you're timing this yourself then you have to stop the clock a bit before where you think I cross the line. It's deceiving. It's tough to get a good angle on this unless I have someone film it for me from the side. My chest crosses the line first. Not the feet.

By the time you stop the clock i'm already past the line. I'm really consistent with my hand times so this is up near the fastest i've ever run and it's so early in the year. My fastest hand time ever was 4.31 in the 40 which translates to 4.61.

But you have to add in .30 of a second to all hand times to get an NFL combine standard time. So whatever you think you hand time yourself in doesn't count. In the combine they hand time the start and laser finish it meaning the athlete crosses the line and the laser stops the clock.

This is one of my first 40s of the year though. I normally don't peak out until sept, oct, and nov. So i'm going to need to hand time myself in 4.1 to 4.2 consistently to get down to around 4.5 under NFL combine standards.

Need to do more butt kicks, knee raises, heavier smith machine calve raises, more weight on the hack squat machine, heavier leg curls, more shoulder work, more abs, to get it.

I'm adding in a day devoted just to abs to get the rest of the fat off of my stomach and lower back.

I'm going to see if this does it.

That's solid OP! I'm 5'11 242lbs and I just got clocked at 4.35 on a 40 myself. Luckily it is early in the year and I haven't really done any specific training dedicated towards improving it. Since you are pushing hard for it I will too and post how much improved it gets with direct focus!
