As long as she dyes her hair red and King Trident is black too I’ve got no objections... remember seeing a production of Cinderella years ago, with a black Cinderella (Brandy) and a Filipino prince who had a black mother (Whoopi Goldberg) and a white father (Victor Gerber). The fact that white plus black does not equal Asian really bugged me, it just didn’t make sense!

I'd watch it if they casted Kanye West. At least that would make sense since he's had a history of being a mermaid, rather than casting a black girl just because she's black.
If anyone's upset about not feeling represented in media, then why don't you just start producing your own chit instead of demanding that other people change theirs? Remember the Boondocks?
Not even trying to talk smack, that's just what I'd do. I think that mindset that society has to conform to all sorts of minorities is retarded. Just do your own thing in your own communities.Last edited by faketaxidriver; 07-06-2019 at 08:43 PM.

Wait a minute... The Little Mermaid, from Danish author Hans-Christian Anderson, that was publish in 1837, as in eleven years before Denmark abolished slavery?
Oh, dear... that is not going to end well for the Little Mermaid.
Joking aside, I don't think it would matter if the actress was attractive enough to warrant casting over a redhead, because this?
This ain't it, chief.
Also, it's like reading the knockoff brand of Halle Barry as far as casting goes with an equal amount disappointment.
The real controversy should be the brain dead plebs who keep propping up these lazy remakes. That damn mouse doesn't even have to try anymore to be an impenetrable, international juggernaut.I will stand firm, I refuse to kneel - The fury in me is divine

Oh yes, the whites are at it again.
The ink had barely dried on Disney’s announcement that Halle Bailey will star in the title role of The Little Mermaid when meteorologists at the White Weather Channel had to issue a flash flood warning because of a sudden deluge of white tears.CURRENT PR(S)

The people who write for that very website praised the casting choices for the all black cast of the lion king remake but hypocritically had problems with people talking about the weird casting of the little mermaid.

Who gives a fuk. Are you guys seriously going to watch this movie?
They could have literally chosen a man, and I would not have cared, because I'm not going to watch this movie, nor have I ever cared about little mermaid. I swear, you guys waste so much of your time and energy on stupid shiit, and ignore anything of substance or value. You're all being duped to bitch and moan about the shiit that doesn't matter, while the shiit that matters goes unnoticed, and life and society as a whole erode from underneath you.2014 Misc Resolution: Negging no pics (screen captures of text don't count as pics)

They should make a new mermaid movie about black mermaids if they want a black mermaid. And Jordan Peele should direct it.
Oh, what. Misc has a problem with that concept, too.
Lol bunch if phukking *******s. Cannot believe all you six figure, ten inch dink, investment savvy miscers have time for an eight page thread on Disney and Ariel. The closer we approach the uncertainty of life's ending the more we wish to trade all of the things we have acquired in exchange for all of the things we have lost: wealth for youth, knowledge for fresh curiosity, resignation for hope. We'd trade our wisdom for new experiences, but it is wisdom that will teach us that at the end of the road the only new experience is death.

That bitching about how only black actors could do the voice work in the Lion King remake was insane. Does that mean that a new Bambi movie would need to be strictly done by white voice actors, or perhaps even strictly Native American voice actors? Should all of those Ice Age movies been made with strictly white voice actors? It wasn't even legit Africans they had doing the Lion King remake voice work, it was Hollywood morons like Beyonce ffs...

The irony of this post is astounding. "Asian" people are not one homogeneous group: Chinese people tend to look down on most of the rest of 'Asia', as a quick example. So when you write 'my asian brahs' you come across (no offense) as a guy from rural North America who is anything but 'woke'. Just like the people on this forum that write things like 'African-American' - how do you think people from an African country feel seeing you write that? North Africa, anyone? Sub-Saharan Africa, anyone? Eritrea? Ghana? Want to talk to someone from Ghana and compare his background to someone from Nigeria? Want to talk to someone Chinese and compare his background (lol) to someone from Japan?
Tl;dr: writing 'Asian' or 'African' disgraces the rich and diverse cultural heritages across continents. So if you're trying to talk about how 'woke' you are when it comes to 'race' and 'representation' it might appear more credible if you actually respected this fact.
Of course, this is exactly what SJWs want - they want to foster 'group identities' to allow for collective blame, e.g. (as you see in this thread) 'blacks have little power here' or 'whites win more Oscars' - just a chit show of a basis for discussion, per the above.

you are drawing a bigger circle then you need to .... when it comes to misc, everything is rated per its sexual/racial preference..
so when miscers say african americans.... they mean black ....as most of the above african countries you mentioned are black "except for some algerians, tunisians and south africans"
when miscers say asians, they mean asian chicks and how they make these weird voices when they are getting it deep and hardCherish your life. Live to tell your story

So... Tom cruise for blade remake and Jackie Chan for clark Kent? Pablo Pascal for spawn?
These characters have very iconic and recognizable appearances. The fact that they're fictional does not change that.
Did you see the backlash Daniel Craig had initially because he was blonde?or every single Batman ever?
