For the generator, the solar on our new trailer will power everything but the A/C. So what I need is something super quiet, just to do that. Don't know what power draw of the unit is, yet, but it can't be that much. The interior is literally the size of a queen sized bed.

That guy is 65db, for $500

This one 53db for same price
Yamaha seems to be the quietest, but at $300 more......The hardest part of a zombie apocalypse will be pretending I'm not excited.

You know that decibel is a base 10 algorithm, meaning 10 more decibels is 10 times louder. Two to three times perceived loudness to an adult human ear. That's a big difference. Costco has a Yamaha powered generic 2k starting watt/1600 continuous Chinese generator for around $550 that I bought and returned for the Champion inverter 3500, gets good reviews.

Want the option to do it on a limited basis, for now. Until we get our land as a getaway, we want to travel and see the country. So much of the country is off the beaten path where the tourists won't be at. Just sick of people, even in our small town, let alone the hassle of going into the "city" every day for work.

Put about 300 rounds through it, love it; need to work on my trigger pull though, too used to my Glock (dropped it to 3.5 lb). This has a trigger pull weight of about 8 pounds, so all of my shots were to the right. Blasted the hell out of the targets shoulder, incapacitated for sure.
On the gun having very little recoil... yes and no. The muzzle rise with .38 was almost entirely negligible, like a .22 and you barely feel it fire, again similar to a .22. With .357 it barely rises at all, not even as much as a 9mm, but you do feel it in the webbing of your hand, a feeling like someone high fived you really hard, it pushes back so all of the recoil goes to your arm more than the wrist.
Shoots great though and looking forward to putting more through it.

ive heard the original open bolt variation of this firearm was reliable. after the ban on open bolt guns they released the closed bolt variant which was the tec 9. those guns are known to be cheap and incredibly unreliable. too bad too, because it would be fun to have... if only they worked reliably.
technically mac 11s are .380 auto. if its 9mm, then its an M11/9 and has an extended rear receiver.
mac11
m11/9
btw, velocity arms makes factory new variants of the M11/9 and the M10/45

Watching the Emperor's rally, and I'm reminded why he has my vote.
Now if he could fulfill his 2nd Amendment promises instead of trampling our rights I'd be excited...Florida Crew as of 3/21

yea, it doesnt help that the tec9 was designed to be a cheap gun anyway. i suppose they never thought it would gain popularity like it did.
sucks about the vmac 45 too. i checked out their company page and apparently velocty arms is sold out of them too. maybe not enough interest in them?
you could try contacting them directly and see if you could persuade them to build you one.

I was considering goats or sheep. From what I was reading, sheep are less maintenance and easier to care for. Goats have a bad habit of eating everything in site. My dads Army buddy had a few goats and ended up getting rid of them after they started tearing up his horse barn and trailer.
Considered a John Deere or Dixie Chopper. But I do like the idea of having some livestock on the property for food sources as well.
If you get a chance, check out the pacific northwest, the Sierra Nevada's are beautiful. The Utah Salt Flats are pretty cool too. There is the Virgin River Gorge as well, stretching from Utah to Arizona. Northeast Maine is incredibly beautiful in the summer. The Colorado River is pretty cool as well. North Dakota and Montana are beautiful states. The Coconino National Forest is awesome. There's a few other canyon drives through the Southwest that were pretty cool too, but I can't remember the canyon names or states they were in. The drive from Spokane to Butte, South to Provo and Southeast towards Canyonlands National Park is a pretty nice drive as well.

Looks like Trijicon wasn't lying about the SRO not being made for duty use, not seeing much for durability so far out of random benos threads and definitely didn't fare well against sage dynamics testing. Feelsbadman, gonna have to think a lot harder about which direction to go.
As of right now I'm between the DPP and the vortex venom currently, the vortex for the price ad warranty and the DPP because of the reputation it has as one of the "not as bad" mrds.
