Your life will never be a straight path.”
“To not only take risks, but to be open to life. To accept new views and to be open to new opinions. While it may be frightening, it will also be rewarding. Because the chances you take… the people you meet… the people you love…the faith that you have—that’s what’s going to define your life.”

Sure. As long as you can put a padlock or cable lock through it or around the handle so that it can't be opened (enough you can't stick a pinky finger in seems to be 'enough' but ones you can't open -at all- when locked might be a better choice) and it's hard sided you're good. You might for example be able to tightly wrap the cable lock that came with the gun around the handle of the case it came in and not have to buy anything
I've used all kinds of cases for flying. The one I linked, factory cases, a couple pelicans, a couple other different ones.
Mostly now I use this and bring one

Successfully led my second Veterans Expeditions trip, climbing Mt. Shasta last weekend. Was an awesome time with a solid group of dudes.
Me on the right
Pretty gnarly story. We summited by 7am and were at the Red Banks (steepest section on the climb) by about 8am. It was still extremely icy so we down climbed through the chutes and then continued down. About 1/3 of the way down from there to base camp (about 750 feet), I was up front leading us down when I heard yells/screams behind me. There had already been some rock and ice fall so I turned to try to spot the debris when I saw a climber falling out of control down the slope without an axe. He was above us but off to the side a bit. I immediately began traversing towards his path as fast as I could and somehow got to his path just seconds before he arrived. I planted my axe down and used that as a personal anchor to prepare to catch him. Not really sure how I held on, but he slammed into me and I grabbed him by the waist of his pants and held onto my axe.
When he got to me, he was face down and head first, trying to dig his fingers into the ice to stop himself, but it wasn't doing chit. The sliding had caused his sleeves of his layers to ride up and his forearms were shredded. There was a decent amount of blood in the snow/ice above him. Checked him over more and found that his stomach, back, and face were all torn up too. His back was the worst, but his stomach was pretty close.
His crampons broke above the Red Banks and he tried glissading down, but immediately lost his axe and went into a slide for life. We got him down to base camp safely where the climbing rangers began working on him. First time I've seen someone in a legit fall before.
Earlier that morning a climber ascending fell at the Red Banks and didn't stop until near base camp. He was unconscious and bleeding from the head. We saw significant blood trails as we got closer down to base camp during our descent, and learned he was in the hospital with multiple broken bones and a head wound. Stay safe out there.

RAQQA, SYRIA—A Navy SEAL Team recently expressed regret in showing support for Pride Month after their new uniforms gave away their position in a covert operation to infiltrate an ISIS stronghold. Seal Captain James McKeever says they endured heavy gunfire after the little rainbow flags poking up off of their shoulder area drew the enemy's attention. "The whole mission was a bust. We barely made it out alive."
The SEAL team is now being investigated for hate speech after expressing such clearly unpatriotic and anti-gay opinions. "To refuse to wear a bright, rainbow-covered frog suit on a covert ops mission is the definition of anti-gay bias," said investigator Janice Gillespie. "They will be duly reprimanded."
Next month they will be wearing bright red, white, and blue gear in celebration of July 4.

Pretty sure the rangers called in a bird to pick him up. From base camp it's still like four miles to the parking lot, and I'm not sure how he would have moved down with a heavy pack and stuff. Or maybe they skied him down in a sled, not sure.
Yeah, he'll have some gnarly scars for sure.Misc Firearms Crew
