This isnt a good answer. If you are allowing God to be eternal, there is nothing wrong with saying the cosmos itself is eternal.

-Are there waters above the sky?
-What came first, vegetation on earth, or the Sun?
-What came first, birds created immediately from scratch (lol).....or insect life on earth?

One only needs to be a Christian the way Christ wants us to be...just follow the 10 commandments as much as possible and listen to His words.... what he says in the Book of Mathew is a great start. The Bible says that everything man touches it corrupts, so it's best to look at what Christ says, not what man writes. Christ says in Mathew that you only need to follow the Commandments. The parables Christ speaks explains how to follow the commandments. Christ speaks in parables because parables can be translated in all languages.

Maybe you better re-read the original post, because everything you just said is incorrect. In fact, OP suggested the exact opposite, and none of it was judgey, in fact he was thinking about how to lead people to Christ and he was thanking God for his son who died for our sins to give everyone the opportunity to not go to hell.

Exactly. on spread. I notice this issue is never really addressed in all these religion threads or heaven/hell threads.

-On the upper most level, we have the problem of free will itself: without free will, you have people who end up dying without believing in the Christian God through no fault of their own. There is simply no choice to believe in/not believe in God.

-Even if free will did exist (a lot of modern science and philosophy seems to disagree with this), there is still birth and growing up circumstances that strongly affect someone's likelihood to be involved a particular religion. Just a matter of statistics.

-What about the people growing up and living their entire lives without ever having heard about Jesus or Christianity? Like, say, the people populating North America in say 1000 AD. Or say, someone born into an uncontacted tribe today. Either 1) they get into heaven automatically, never having heard of Jesus (this is strong argument to never do any kind of missionary work, as doing so would change their chances of going to hell from zero to nonzero. And there are other problems as well with this)......or 2) the person born into an uncontacted tribe goes to hell after death.....a severely unjust position. None of this makes sense, and cant be explained within the framework of Christianity.

God must be limited by time. God can't change the past because it already happened, and God can't make 1=0. The fact that there is no consistent way to define an absolute timeline for all observers in the universe immediately implies that God can't reactively change anything in response to events unfolding. It was set in stone the moment the universe was created. This presents problems for free will and prayer.

What we have with the gospels are some anonymous documents written long after the supposed Jesus died....some of which probaby used prior ones to construct the narrative (and yet somehow still manage to contradict each in parts)....not that you care about the actual history of the documents you deem as scripture.
