Kentucky Derby, 2 things.
#1. I don't care for horse racing and think it should be done away with.
#2. What the hell was with that finish today? DQ the winner & award the race to 2nd place who wasn't even close?

Not really knowing the "rules" at play I read this :
http://www.espn.com/horse-racing/sto...kentucky-derby
Seems to make a good argument as to why. Also looks like in a smaller race (not the Derby), it would have been called instantly. Not to worry though, Trump is looking into it as per his early shtter tweet☻/

I'm not a horse racing fan. I do watch the three Triple Crown races, Kentucky Derby, Preakness, and Belmont. Other than those races, I pay no attention to the sport.
I hate to see the winner of any major sports competition decided by a technicality or a foul. Horse racing, football, baseball, it doesn't matter. I hate to see umpires, referees, etc. decide a major event. Yes, I saw the interference. but it had nothing to do with the second place horse. I saw no reason to overturn the results.

Seeing the replay on NBC, it looked to be the correct call based on the rules I learned about 3 minutes earlier. You could tell by the reaction from the trainer and jockey of Maximum Security that they knew they were f*cked. Trainer basically zoned out during the interview. Although, I come from dirtbike racing and that was excellent use of the defensive line.

I am not opposed to stopping horse racing. It won't happen, though.
I have never watched horse racing because of those very reasons and the way they are raised. I only read about this race.
To me, horses mean free, spirit and beauty. Horses are very affectionate and smart.Helping one person may not change the world, but it could change the world for one person.

Speaking of it. Have you seen Ram's Kentucky Derby Edition, which was debuted in New York a few days ago?

I did a few years ago and you are right.
Greyhounds are beautiful dogs and very loving. There are Greyhound adoption services out there for placing retired racing dogs in homes.
On the other hand, there are owners of race dogs that kill them if injured or too old and babies that are not up to the selective breeding process are killed which is hard to imagine. Too cruel to discuss here.Helping one person may not change the world, but it could change the world for one person.

They are quite gorgeous and very sweet. Watching them run in a field is amazing how much ground they cover so quickly.
The racing on the surface is awesome, but the underlying factors that I mentioned at least for me and others, is too much for me to appreciate the racing.Last edited by Mark1T; 05-05-2019 at 06:57 PM.

As I understand it it doesn’t matter if the new winning horse was affected. It only matters if it directly affected the performance of any other horse on the field, which would be war of will. Maximum clearly impeded war of wills performance and he was thus disqualified. Maximum Security almost took out three horses moving out the way he did, clipping legs with War of Will. That's why he moved behind War of Will and not Country House in the final standings. Not much different than in football with holding penalties; a hold on the left side of the field didn't hinder the defense to the right on a run, but it doesnt matter, it's still gonna get called back.

And it ain't over yet folks, the owner of what I call the rightful winning horse is planning an appeal of this decision."You know that little thing in your head that keeps you from saying things you shouldn't? Yeah, well, I don't have one of those."

Didn't see it, but read up on it...not sure why the horse not involved won...should have gone to the other horse involved, if it mattered that much in the race...
From other races that I have watched..seems like a lot of bumping goes on when all are so close together...smh...me not care otherwise...My Log - https://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=170367151&page=50
