Pho. it just doesn't get any better. those who disagree, haven't tried it yet, or just flat out have bad taste.
that great, fatty broth. the flat rice noodles. the scallions. the fresh herbs, bean sprouts, spicy chili peppers and lime wedges. the rare flank, or vietnamese meatballs, or tendon, or tripe, rough brisket, or all of the above. the fantastic interaction of salty, sweet, sour and savory- it just doesn't get any better.
some like to top it with sriracha, or fish sauce, or hoison, or sate sauce. i like to go with a little chili sauce and hoison, in addition to the cilantro, basil, bean sprouts, and lime

Came in expecting pho.
I get all meat and add cilli sauce, lime, cilantro and chilli pepper.
Pho + greasy springrolls = hangover heaven.

pho is indeed the chit. Also vietnamese spring rolls (nem I think they're called) are light years better than any garbage chinese spring rolls. wrap in the lettuce and dip in sauce, give me a pho and dozen of those please!
