For my first admission, I admit that I watch American Idol and I will bet tough guys like Karl and Bodyhard especially watch, as well. I just like to see musical talent. Music was one of my majors besides business/marketing. There were a few years I did not like American Idol because I thought they didn't have good talent, but this year is pretty good.
If you have an admission of some kind, as long as it's not too kinky, please post right here. There is no shame.

When I was 12 I was obsessed with the soap opera General Hospital. I didn't have control of the tv and it was on everyday at 3, so I started watching it and then got hooked and would race home everyday from school to watch it.
It had a couple named Luke and Laura and a spy named Scorpio on there. They couple ended up getting kidnapped by some madman who made it snow in the summer in Port Charles, but the spy named Scorpio came and saved them (sort of...they got split up and didn't see each other for some time).
It was all very exciting, I'm ashamed to admit.

Hallmark Christmas movies. They are terrible. Bad acting and awful plots.
Usually the professional rich woman reluctantly visits her middle class family in their quaint historic little town and rediscovers her basic self and finds love with the handsome carpenter.
Until the inevitable phone call from her boss back in New York or LA or Chicago:
"Hey, we got the Davidson account! We need you back tomorrow morning to seal the deal. Get on a flight now!"
"But, tomorrow is the town pickle eating competition...my dad will just die if I don't make it."
"Look, I know you had to go home for a bit to find yourself or whatever but enough is enough. I expect you at the office at 8am sharp tomorrow or the account is going to Larry."
Hangs up looking distraught. Cue the love interest: "Leaving huh?"
"James/John/Nick...it's just..."
"Heh, and here I was thinking you hadn't changed after all these years. Guess the city will do that to ya. Have a nice life."
Flowers fall to the ground. Jennifer/Jessica/Brittany picks them up. A tear rolls down her cheek. She wants to call out but she can't find her voice as James'/John's/Nick's pickup truck squeals away.
A commercial for Hallmark original television show Signed, Sealed, Delivered begins to play leaving us all in suspense. Will she go home to her mean boss or will she eat more pickles then she ever has in her life?
And there’s always a gazebo."it's likely one of us will have to spend some days alone"

<<< Ex-All My Children addict back when I was in high school. Oh that Erica Cain....she was everything. An absolute knockout brunette/devil re-incarnate in one. I'm not sure there was a warm blooded male on the show that she didn't seduce. Along with a few young boys watching her on the tv screen...
Well meaning, elderly man with a poor memory...pause

Awe fukk, I guess I'll come totally clean. I was stationed in Guam when I was in my early 20's, and at the time there weren't a lot of tv channels available, and the ones that were available played the shows at strange times compared to the States, with the time difference.
Long story short...The Young & The Restless (affectionately referred to as the dumb & the useless) would come on every night at 6 or 7 pm, and a bunch of the guys from my team would come over to watch it. If you can imagine a bunch of UDT/Seal/EOD dudes all camped out in the living room of a condo, perfectly content watching a soap (and it was a straight up girly soap, too ).
I, of course, only watched it for the beer commercials.
I was completely into this in the moment. I'm still wondering if she got to eat that pickle.

During the Summers in college, I got hooked on Days of Our Lives. Every day was a life and death situation, but I was in love with Deidre Hall who played Marlena. My first heartbreak.
I played trumpet in college and big band music and jazz were my thing. I still listen to jazz and all sorts of instrumental music. Good thing.
Nothing wrong with that.
Nothing wrong with that, either.
Pink and Lady Gaga are two of the top talented pop singers. Pink could have been bigger, but I appreciate her vocals and Gaga can belt out anything. I have yet to watch the recent Star is Born, but I saw it with Barbra Streisand and Kris Kristofferson in 1977 I believe and several times after that. The music was most excellent, like Evergreen.Helping one person may not change the world, but it could change the world for one person.

In the words of Bart Simpson, au contraire mon frere! BH would punch Simon in the face while I made snide comments from the peanut gallery.
Sh!t....same bro. It was on during the break between classes and work, so I had it on in the background and got hooked for awhile. It was Sammy and her evil schemes!
Now for my next major confession: When I wash my hair, I lather and rinse, but never repeat. It takes a big man to cry, but it takes a bigger man to laugh at that man.

I admit I have not met anyone here I didn't like. I learned years ago that no one really knows each other, so we shouldn't take things so seriously. Kind of like driving. Some people take driving personal and have to teach other driver's a lesson if they don't like something they did. Again, they don't know you or me. It is a mind set here and it took me a while to realize.
Helping one person may not change the world, but it could change the world for one person.
