At the gym tonight. Black dude working lat pulldns next to me. I am not thinking much of it. You can tell he works out. Not big, but lifts. 5'10 ish...maybe 180 (or so I would have thought till I saw his legs )





He gets up to go to get a drink and I cant even finish my set I almost fell over. I grabbed my phone so I could snap a pic. Dude has legs smaller than most 6 year old girls. This is NOT edited in any way!

Or it could be the fact that guys who are willing to consistently squat and deadlift are also putting in hard work on the rest of their body so they get big arms, chest, etc.

Sorry guys. I thought and still do think this is funny. I wont go into what is considered "PC" these days when it comes to humor. But, I do feel it is a shame that people have gotten so uptight and 'sensitive' to other's "safe-space" that we just cant laugh at things that are funny. Oh...and "fat shaming".....heck yea that is funny too. (sorry). My son showed me a video of a big fat guy slipping and falling on the ice. I almost spit my coffee out. When he "fell", he basiclly rolled over on his side in a pendulum like motion and rocked back and fourth. I cant help it....it was funny to me. If you guys dont think that is funny, I guess I am not as good a person as you.

The husband and wive who wear matching workout gear/belts and walk around holding hands



This girl is funny. She comes in wearing all kinds of plunging neck line outfits and spends 45 min plus doing 'reverse hypers'. The whole time she sticks her chest out as far as possible and trys to see how much attention she can get. This is not her best outfit. She made a top out of an old t-shirt that looks more like a string bikini. I never got a pic of that one.

If I was at the gym w/ my buddies we'd probably laugh at some of this stuff. I think posting pics of others w/o their knowing in order to make fun of them while they cant defend themselves is a bit different to me. My 18 year old self would likely disagree I guess. Whatever floats your boat.

I dont. I see a bunch of guys like this. There is a guy at my gym, who is built better than me up top, but he always wears sweatpants with knee sleeves. BUT, he pulls the knee sleeves down over his calves. So they are hanging over his calves loosly, sitting on top of his shoes. First time I saw it, I thought to myself....oh it must be his leg day. But NOPE....he wears them every day at the gym. He also trains with a bright yellow mouth piece in with a big strap hanging out in front of his face. Yet, I have never once seen him lift anything remotely heavy. My guess is he is heavily augmented in his training.

Why is posting this here any different where you say you and your buddies in the gym would laugh at some of this? In your gym, if you were to see this and have a chuckle with your buddies, would you first announce real loud in the gym....."Hey buddy....see us laughing? We are all laughing at you and your skinny legs!"? If not....well you are not giving him a chance to "defend himself. Your logic is off on this one....... Unless, you make a habit of making fun of people and rubbing it in thier faces? Is that somehow better?

If anyone snapped a pic of my wife, it would probably be captioned about what a hot girl they say Actually she can handle herself. But if one were to post negative comments about her, it would not matter to me at all. Or if someone posted them about me. I have learned a whole bunch about trolling over the years and learned not to get too worked up at strangers behind keyboards. And being happy and comfortable with one's self means I recognize what is real and what is just people trying to get a rise out of you.

I think there is humor of all types. I find this funny. Maybe you dont. Thats OK. Speaking of my wife.....I took the pic to share with her really. I always have funny gym stories I share with her. I showed it to her when I came in the door and she thought I edited the picture somehow. My daughter came over and looked and laughed, and that brought my son to look. Yes....us horrible people all laughed at another's expense. I guess you are a saint....but I cant help but find certain things funny. Yes.....I laugh at fat people sometimes. And for you that think it is mean.....I would love to watch you sit in the middle seat of a plane while boarding as a huge fat person is coming down the isle. Seat by seat and you are only hoping they are not seated next to you. Then to your relief, he is sitting 2 rows up....and then you feel sorry for the guy that has to sit next to him I think I am normal in seeing thing like this funny and I dont have an issue admitting it.

I don’t know what to say ID, you keep changing the context of the situation. It’s not about laughing at something you think is funny, it’s not about laughing with others, it’s not even about laughing at someone else’s expense...it’s about taking a picture of someone without them knowing about it and posting it on a public forum and mocking and insulting them without thier knowledge or allowing them to defend themself or at least call you a dick. It’s not like you lifted these pictures from his Instagram workout page. I'm honestly shocked I'd even have to explain the difference to you. I'll give an example that happened today: we have this couple who comes in and lifts. They do all sorts of goofy shti. So the guy today is squatting, wraps his knees for 285, straps on his belt, and acts like this is a world record lift. He's in decent shape, but in the context of my gym - a famous powerlifting gym, it was weird. Myself and my workout partner got a chuckle and then moved on. I didn't snap a vid/pic to share here with people I really don't know, posting a picture of him W/O his permission in order to show everyone how much better I was than him. Honestly, I don't know his struggles.

You then post this vid in an open area so others can make fun of them. Do you not see an issue here?

It's not a logic thing and frankly, this behavior says more about you and your insecurities and how your project them.

And being happy and comfortable with one's self means I recognize what is real and what is just people trying to get a rise out of you.

I have huge, muscular, cut calves. I have never done a calf exercise in my life.

Thin calves are actually good for running and jumping. One of the things that makes the east Africans great distance runners is that they have really skinny calves and lower legs. Think of waving a broomstick around versus waving a log around.

It's not as important for sprinting and jumping, but a lot of good sprinters* and jumpers have really skinny calves. My son was a D1 All-American in the decathlon, long jumped over 24 ft and could hit his head on the rim. His big white-guy calves were the exception among his competition. Some of those guys had sticks below the knees.

Here's the best basketball player in the world. His skinny legs don't seem to limit him too much.




*All but 2 of the 100+ men who have run 100m in under 10 seconds are of West African origin, btw.

I dont see any difference, and frankly I dont give a crap about his struggles. It was just a light-hearted funny observation. What is you asked every comic to think about the associated struggles of others before we all laugh at things that are funny. You may say 'well, what you posted was not funny'...and that is where comedy is subjective. I still find it funny so yes, I am a horrible person.

The difference is, the video of the commentary would not bother me. It is honest and real. And everyone else was thinking the same thing, just too afraid to point it out. We have gotten out of control with over PC. Not empathy....just being afraid of infringing on anyones 'safe space'.

I cant get on board with holier-than-thou attitudes. One great example was Biden commenting on Billy Blanks interview where Trump bragged of grabbing a PuzZy. When someone asked Biden if that could just be dismissed as "locker room talk", Biden turned with a straight face and said something like ' I have been in locker rooms my entire life with other men and I have NEVER ever once heard another man talk like that'. Really......? THAT is the problem today. No one wants to be honest. And behind things that are funny, they often have some honest truth they are playing off. In my example, it is the guy who doesnt train legs.

Careful.....you are treading on thin ice. Jimmy the Greek got fired for less . Yes, I agree, there are definite genetic differences which are the result of certain adaptations. Hell, skin color itself is one of those adaptations!

I actually have very high calves and high attachments on my hamstrings. My legs are not on par with my upper body size wise, even though I can move comparable amounts of weight in pretty much any movement. My calves were laughable for many years. But I have at least made them so they are not embarassing. They will never be in proportion 'ideally' with the rest of my body. I am not a true 'bodybuilder' so I guess not having 18" calves, to match my arms is not the end of the world. I accept the good and bad of the hand I was dealt.


So just so I know.....stuff like this is bad and the only people who would find it funny, are people who have yet to resolve thier own insucurities..?...
