So I'm asking in is there a way to make your body to be able to say take a punch? Any exercises, nutrition etc?
Of course it would be better if it could take more than just a punch.

Yes. Just get strong. And eat a quality diet - don't ask what this is; you know already.
Ab training would help you take a blow to the gut, but remember that compounds like squats, standing presses, deadlifts, pullups/chinups work the abs heavily.
Neck training can help prevent concussions, but outside the context of competitive combat sports I don't recommend it unless you don't mind sleeping with a CPAP machine. Neck hypertrophy has been linked to the development of sleep apnea.Last edited by Shihanlifter; 03-08-2019 at 03:52 AM.

"Is there a way to develop your body to be tough?"
For a belly punch, you always have to brace.

Nothing prepares you to be hit other than actual sparring. Farmers walks and all that other core stuff wont help until you actual learn how to get hit and keep moving.
Boxing, muay thai, or a good MMA or Krav Maga School (hint: if its run out of a crossfit box, it aint good) would all provide enlightenment.

I do direct ab work daily because I believe direct work is necessary for optimal ab strength, but I still believe people can develop reasonable abs through the basic compound lifts.
We're not looking for "reasonable" though are we.
I think people can probably develop abs to ~90% of their potential through heavy compound lifts, and the last 10% can be achieved through direct work. This is just my belief though.

If you want to be "tougher," you have to put your mind and body through some kind of adversity on a continual basis....That could be physical "obstacles" (tendonitis...still trainable in some instances; pushing past failure as much as possible, etc.) or mental (managing hereditary panic attacks while training; motivational issues, etc.). Strength training, powerlifting, training in an "explosive" manner (think how athletes train) will always help. Then you could put that strength and conditioning foundation into Muay Thai, learning self-defense techniques, and various MMA disciplines if you truly want to "develop a tougher mind and body."
Start by picking a good strength based program, eat to support your nutritional and training needs, get restorative sleep and join one of the many MMA classes available now....Fact: My first-generation uncle was a boxer who fought Sugar Ray Robinson!
