Eating a jacket potato will increase blood glucose levels. Eating glucose tablets will increase blood glucose levels, but the two aren't identical in that you get a faster hit of blood glucose from the glucose tablets.
Eating eggs and drinking milk (casein especially but also the whey, and other "good" foods) will give you all the BCAAs you require in your diet, but BCAA supplement will give a faster spike as you don't have to digest (break the proteins up into amino acids with stomach acid). Is the speed/spike of BCAA significant in any way? That's the $Million question.
Maybe if you are a pro bodybuilder at the edge of your physical potential consuming BCAAs before/during/immediately after just might give some tiny help. For me... it'll likely be utterly insignificant and I no longer consider buying BCAA (but if they were free...? what's there to loose? ).Might they help You... depends on how close to your genetic potential you are.
Before we all get really emotional and angry on the topic, please can everyone read the sticky on the 80:20 rule, take a few deep breaths and thing REALLY CALM ****** THOUGHTS! (I was never very good at this meditation stuff ). This is definitely in the territory of the things that make the smallest differences.

There was a small minority of the idiots back then... literally, if anyone sees BCAA/EAA/Leucine as not effective... shut everything down, there is nothing left to talk about.. a HIGH PROTEIN DIET should be assumed in here, which means EAA vs. BCAA vs. LEUCINE is NOTHING more than a PERSONAL PREFERENCE

Because BCAAs are naturally occuring... I would still eat my chicken if the chicken breast label at Walmart said 5g of BCAA per serving. Most labels don't read "BCAAs added", because they're already naturally occuring. None of use are buying protein powder solely because the label states that. Noobs know the term "BCAA" it's a marketing gimmick.Supplement a good diet: don't diet on supplements.

I'll let you in on a little secret, BCAAs from foods and protein powders digest at a very slow rate. Free form aminos are instantly available. Stay anabolic...
Also, your protein label clearly states, HIGH in BCAAs so they must be important or is this only intended for Noobs?Last edited by TheFugitive; 03-16-2019 at 10:38 AM.

And for the general public nutrient timing is relevant for what? The body is in a never ending anabolic/catabolic state. There are always going to be substrates being built and broken down. It would take the body days to get into a fully catabolic state. You're simultaneously over and underestimating the capability of the human body.
Have you ever studied bioenergetics at all?Supplement a good diet: don't diet on supplements.

No difference when i workout without BCAA's but many have 100mg caffeine in it..so in that sense. it does helps a lil bit as intra-workout supplement.. most of the time its just a placebo effect. and waste of 0,90 euro cents a scoop..

There is the research, then there are feels.
The research is pretty clear what happens once you control for protein in the diet.
Working out until you almost puke is not smart to begin with when you take recovery and volume over time into consideration. It slows progress.Last edited by powercage; 03-16-2019 at 06:44 PM.

Threads like this are why I stopped posting here. People need to do their research. Y'all just parrot something another person who didn't do their research said and look like damn *******s.
