    peanuts vs cashews vs almonds?

    So tried to look up some information only difference i found was vitamins and Gi value
    almonds= 0
    cashews =22
    peanuts = 14
    and a [+2/-2 ]slight difference in mono/poly fats

    one site said...
    "And not only did the almond meal increase antioxidant levels, but unlike the other foods, almonds also lowered the rise in blood sugar and insulin seen after eating. "

    meal consisting of
    "3 test meals (almonds and bread, parboiled rice, and instant mashed potatoes)" vs a "bread control meal"

    from
    whfoods.com/genpage.php?tname=foodspice&dbid=20

    So if money is an issue
    where peanuts cost 2$lb
    cashews 7/lb
    almonds 8/lb

    so is it a big deal to just eat peanuts? or does it matter what diet your on, for instance im on the game over cut diet.

    Peanuts are OK, but I wouldn't opt for them most of the time.

    I'm eating roasted peanuts right now. And they are delicious. A good afternoon snack for some protein and fat.

    And pistachios taste the best.

    Cashews are hands down the most delicious...but blanched almonds with the skin removed are pretty addictive too. I can't stand peanuts...although I love PB and peanut oil...weird how that works

    Almonds are ideal but are too expensive for this poor college student to eat year round. Peanuts during a bulk and almonds during cutting.

    Smile Peanuts, Peanuts, Peanuts!!!

    I don't know of anyone that can't stand Cashews, but I know that I can't stand them!

    The Peanut is the most versatile with its understated flavor rather than the overly rich and sweet Cashew.

    Don't really like the Almond much either, but I think Pistachios totally rock!

    As far as nutrition is concerned:

    1. Almonds

    2. Peanuts

    3. Cashews

    Almonds win over as far as Nutrition goes, and I honestly prefer them to peanuts, I can't stand the way peanuts taste.

    Personally, lightly flavoured peanuts are very tasty, but yes they do contain a lot of fat. (Nut fat is a better fat than saturated/animal fats)

    This thread makes me despise my nut allergy I've only been allergic for a little over a year.

    Back in the day, I went with plain, raw almonds. Best food in the world in my opinion. Cashews were hard to find plain so the saltiness of them made them so addicting I'd finish one of those giant tins in a couple of days. Oh, but natural peanut butter is heaven on warm oats

    Almonds for me are the winner

    Peanut Butter does have fat, but yeah the natural/reduced fat peanut butters are better (some also have reduced protein when they are reduced fat...check the label) ...

    But yeah eating it a bit won't be bad, just dont drink the peanut butter lol
