Cut all SJW/diversity/feminism/Mary Sue/matriarchal bullchit from the script. If anything feels like it's in the script to serve any of those goals, cut it out.

Introduce male protagonist. Star Wars are movies for little boys and they always were. Little girls don't go see Star Wars movies or buy Star Wars toys unless it's sold to them as a Disney princess story. Go back to the core audience.

The story needs to retcon the stupidity of the previous two movies, and then make a huge time jump into the future so that it's not stuck with the current characters. Start again with new ones. Focus on the adventure aspects of the franchise and stop shoehorning in political commentary aimed at 21st Century Earth.

The dark side of the force should be ascendant by the end of the 9th film, to build anticipation for a 10th.

Remove the dumb kid's comedy from it (i.e. no more Jar Jars).

Solo could have been a great stand alone movie. The completely missed with that one. It's not horrible. There's some SJW nonsense in it. But it could have been so much better. It was just a very superficial heist story disguised as an origin story. A first year film school student could have written that script. It's a shame.

Rogue One was a bit better. Again, there's some SJW stuff in it, but not much. It didn't have a happy ending, which is nice to see since there are no real stakes if we don't sometimes see people paying the ultimate price. It would have been better if the protagonist had been a young man, instead of a young woman. They made her into a Mary Sue and it made parts of the film laughable.
