Love listening to young guys reminisce over the Supra...I was actually driving back in the mid 90s and people didn't love the supra... it was outrageously overpriced, and it was considered equal in popularity with a 300zx tt and 3000gt by most people. The front end was weird, the car looked bloated and the wing was absolutely ridiculous at the time.... all sorts of laughs about the goofy wing.
They only became popular due to (years later) massive aftermarket hp gains realized, limited quantity (due to outrageous msrp) and of course stickered up movie cars.
If this thing handles well (it will), you can bet big hp will be found and suddenly everyone will love it.The only 5k I will ever complete: rep power on bb.com

Attainable and reliable power out of the box is much different today than it used to be. This wont be a 'bad' car but most of the group that was itching to get one has backed off.
A lot of the guys I know that are modifying lesser cars to get into the 9s are using Audi's inline 5 as a platform. The inline 6 that comes in the new Supra is a pretty big step back from that.
IMO if they went with either their own V6 (that easily does 430HP stock) or the Audi inline 5 and stayed a little closer to the concept car Toyota would have had a hit on their hands on day one.Eat in a deficit to lose weight.
Hit your protein and fat minimums to stay healthy and keep your gainz.
Lift heavy and do HIIT to look and feel awesome.
Use the internet to learn why you should do these things and how to do these things.

I don't mind the looks honestly. The problem is you talk about aftermarket but don't realize the BMW engine in it is not mod friendly. The price is too high for the performance you get. For what this thing costs you could get a GT350 which would blow the doors off of the supra

You remember how outdated rednecks sounded with their pony cars in the 90s? That's how this sounds. Japan has fallen. They are arguably the worst performing sports cars of today. Hell, even the Kia Stinger can compare to this. The fact of the matter is that domestics outperform japanese vehicles in GT classes pretty much in unity. Toyota punted to BMW because Yoda is wise enough to know they don't have chit for that segment without undercutting the rest of their over-priced strategy.
Let us all hope that Japan does something great for next gen.Boycott foodservice industry crew

So, something just popped into my head about the Supra where it seemed familiar for some reason....
Yeah, it's not exactly the same but still. "Baby Viper" with half the horsepower and Tq?
Also, for reference, a Civic Type R with ECU flash:
Crank Horsepower Ratings:
Stock Power: 320HP | 295FT/LB
Stage 1 Power: 360HP | 369FT/LB
Stage 2 Power: 374HP | 382FT/LB
Start @ 3:00 if you want to watch.
