too many agruments going on to read through all of it, but OP your best bet is to take creatine post workout with gatorade. The reason you want to take it with gatorade is because of the carb dextrose. This is a good carb to get into your system post workout, and helps creatine absorption. Also tastes really good!

Well, everybody here is talking about mixing pure creatine with milk.
What do you guys think about a weight gainer or something. For example, I just received my Optimum Nutrition HydroBuilder, which has 30g of protein, amino acids, and 5g of creatine?
I did not taste it yet a sI just got it, but I am sure it will taste much better with milk, as do all protein powders, in my opinion.
Thanks

Taste? Are you kidding me? Lets get past all those hype'd up bull**** ultra creatine purple powder / green colored or whatever 'waste your money'
supplement kiddy bull****.
If your taking anything other than creatine monohydrate, chances are you wasting dollars. Creatine monohydrate, is odorless and taste less. Mix it with what you want and its going to taste the same.
I'm willing to bet most people posting have drank creatine and milk togather before already. Considering many protien powders contain creatine already in them, and most like to mix protien powders with milk. Chances are you drank milk and creatine togather.
BTW I know its a old thread, but this just sparked something in me that rarely happens which fueled the need to post/vent. ****ing taste... wow.

Hi i know its an old thread but i may have something that could answer your questions
I mix my creatine mono with a warm/hot drink ((tea or coffee)) as i find it gets absorbed better, it even says to do so on the tin of the creatine i buy.
In my early days of taking creatine i was mixing it with cold drinks and i found that there was exceeded amount of grit AKA creatine left over however if taken with a warm drink it all gets dissolved into the water.
Search on youtube, Getting The Most From Creatine, to get a better understanding on this.Last edited by EarnieUK; 01-09-2012 at 06:02 PM. Reason: mistake

My trainer told me if you take creatine with milk you will get kidney faliure. Also it says in Optimum Nutrition Creatine that you must drink 8 cups of water when taking creatine, and that means kidney things. Lastly, its also says that you must not take creatine wuth calcium .. And milk is full of calcium.
After all that, I stopped taking creatine, cause I heard that kidney pain for men is just like pregnant and birth pain for women.

Your reading way much into this. Citric acid is a very mild acid to begin with. And back in the day everyone took creatine with grape juice. The only thing with milk is it doesnt dissolve things as.well as water, cause its thicker and has many substances already in mixture.

I know I'm a few years late and all and I apologize for that, but I just had to get some advice and I didn't really get it reading the replies
I take my creatine mono with room level water and always get disgusted of it because of the grits and the bottom of the bottle. Would you guys recommend non acidic juice, milk, or something else?
Thanks!

I do it. Don't see the problem here
I don't see the problem here, I mix my creatine (mono) with my protein shake
>10oz Milk
>10oz Water
>2 scoops of Whey (Chocolate)
>Creatine
>2 choc chip cookies (not really needed)
(I add more ounces of liquid, to get it all to shake well :P) Tastes like Jizz. Or if you just want put the scoop of creatine in your mouth and drink up.
