Just finished the Caribbean. Frozen and rapunzel were 10/10 worlds so fuking beautiful. Caribbean and toy story were massive disappointments. Monsters inc was meh at least it was quick and the boss made you do something besides mash x. Hopefully the ending is good cuz the game hasn’t been that great so far imo. Was expecting more for the final game.

Classic Kingdom Hearts, man. The "worlds" stories are so tight and actual overarching KH story is so whack.

My wife has been watching me play thru this one and we have enjoyed the worlds. Then you get to a spot where it's those kids in twilight town trying to find the lost heart of their friend and I just FEEL the wtf radiating off her.

No fukks given tho, I love these games.

I remember KH1's gameplay was great since you had to mix shiet up with melee and spells, but KH2 was straight up pressing the X buttion and the occasional triangle button to do a finisher move or some shiet. I'm hoping KH3's gameplay is better for when I pick it up on sale during Black Friday for 5 bucks lmao semi srs

This is the exact reason why I hated KH2

KH1 was my favorite game as kid but then KH2 came with all the technical bullchit combos and attacks and it ruined the whole game

I'm going to stick with my 7/10 overall score. Plenty of pros such as gorgeous game but my cons from previously never changed.

I never played 1 or 2 but it's mostly like KH2. Just mash X with the occasional triangle to do some cinematic attacks for massive damage.

I'm at Corona now (late start due to beating the unnecessary long Dragon Quest 11) and I just want to know if the amount of cutscenes if ever tempered? I'm about 8 hours in and about 4 of them have been cutscenes. The story for this game has been so bastardized by Squares money grabbing habits of releasing 16 games in the series that the cutscenes are more just annoying time sinks. I just wanted to know if they ever cut the quantity of cut scenes?

What do you mean they're nailing the Disney side? You're literally just playing through the movies with random Organization bros thrown in. Toy Box was the only one not ripped straight from the movie. They literally even reused entire scenes from the movies. I didnt think I was playing this game for 20 hours of Disney movie cutscenes and 20 hours of the main reason to play these games.

I agree with this, but Mass Effect 3's ending concluded in the worst way possible. Pretty much made all your choices mean fuk all. Still loved ME2 and ME3 (except the ending).

Well thats you I guess, a lot of people love kh for the Disney integration. It's the way they related the characters to the story of kingdom Hearts, it's not just the movie cut scenes it's the tie in with kh themes while staying true to the characters

Brb no one can criticize kh3 because it’s your favorite game.

25 hours and I wasn’t trying to speed run it. 3/7 worlds were fun and they made one of those really short. The end game was very disappointing compared to 1 and 2. Those two and BBS are better games and I even enjoyed COM more.

The hardcore fans were always going to be disappointed. The hype was unreal. The ratings and sales say it all though, it's a damn good game.

It's at like 8/10 on Metacritic. The worst of the Kingdom Hearts trilogy, and below a lot of other recent big name releases. I'm glad you enjoy it, but once the novelty wears off it seems that there are a lot of games realizing that this is a shallow installation compared to the rest of the other games in the trilogy.

Square brought it on themselves really.

It's alright tbh. Just finished Monstropolis and was disappointed. It's like they didn't even try to make the stories interesting. 352/2 and BBS were way better, tbh. This game is mostly pretty graphics and effects, combat is pretty much the same since always.

My main problem with KH3 was the difficulty. Like playing on Proud and there was no difficulty whatsoever, the attractions are too common and busted OP, and even without using them there never seems to be a degree of danger. Especially in comparison to KH2 where even certain Nobody packs could slaughter you. It seems the best way to actually get a challenge is to play No EXP or wait til Final Mix comes out.

Just wanted to bump this thread to remind everyone that this game was definitely not as good as it should have been given the amount of time this game was in development. What a sub par entry into the series this was. Definitely the worst of the trio.

i took a break for a while and am playing again. just lol at the easy difficulty. i literally tried to die against a boss in the big hero 6 world and i still didn't die. my heart is telling me to like this game but my head is telling me something different. oh well guess i better finish this game. i guess the hype was the best part of this game smh

Beat the game in 19hrs on Proud Mode at lv 49. Idk if that's because I chose power of the mystic in the beginning but magic is way too overpowered. Even the 'secret' boss was lame. Sad that there isn't any Final Fantasy characters.
