Y'all cant be this dumb right? The whole point was that yesterday there was a bit of rain and that stopped the US president from attending a memorial service that he originally planned to attend. How does him going the next day change anything? Nobody was arguing that Trump didn't want to attend it at all, we were saying that its pathetic that a little bit of rain was too much of a roadblock for the POTUS and his security/transportation team.

You TDS crew are not bright Srs
You always pick the ambiguous/contestable chit to go after Trump on
Helicopter was ruled out by secret service, and yes motorcade routes are planned weeks in advance
And the biggest one; Trumps actually in Paris for the big Remembrance day ceremonies on the 11th, which hes there now in the rain honouring the soldiers

Helicopter crews don't fly in bad weather. [EDIT: some do like the Coast Guard who risk their live to save others, but most do not, and Marine One does not]
As far as not having a pre-planned and pre-prepped ground route and motorcade ready to go as backup, yeah I'll admit that's a problem but is not likely a problem having anything to do with Trump himself. Either that backup is ready to go beforehand or it's not. It's not something that can be done on a moment's notice due to major logistical issues and it's not something that a president is involved in directly.
[EDIT: A great many things surrounding the president are 'just taken care of' without personally and directly involving the president in them in any way. The president already has way too many things on their plate, so as a rule certain things like security and logistics are simply taken care of by Secret Service and staff without bothering the president with extraneous info. When the president takes a motorcade, most of the time it's all taken care of and the president just is brought to it for his ride when that time comes. With that said, if someone screwed up and didn't properly plan this motorcade then action should be taken because it obviously and honestly is a bad deal all around and looks bad and disrespects our American heroes. Nothing like that should happen again. A backup motorcade should always be ready and normally is if the helicopters can't fly.]Last edited by LukeLissen; 11-11-2018 at 04:08 PM.

Its just blatant hypocrisy from the right that is fun to point out. Trumpers are big on having a leader having a "tough" image to a ridiculous extent and like to make fun of the left for things they find weak and unmanly. They are also big on symbolic expressions of respect for the military like the standing for the national anthem.
The fact that Trump couldn't attend a memorial for fallen soldiers because of weather conditions while other leaders they mock for being weak (like Trudeau) had no problem doing so just kind of chits on all of that. And had this happened with someone like Hillary in power they would have mocked it relentlessly.
So yea this is just some in your face hypocrisy that even the most devout Trumpers are squirming when confronted with. "But but it was out of Trumps power, his security team deemed it unsafe!" Great so you are saying America's presidential secruity/transportation team is so chit that they couldn't plan for a little rain while other world leaders had no problem dealing with it? Either way Trump and his administration looks weak and incompetent in this, and its just hilarious to watch Trumpers desperately trying to find a way out.

So you were just waiting for that gotcha moment so you could be just as antagonistic as the retards you dislike from the right?

I just wanted to know whether you were concern trolling or if him not attending actually bothered you.

I wouldn't call it a waste of energy, I enjoy posting in these forums when I got some free time. Its not like I saw this happen and then canceled my day plans to come make a thread about it. I woulda been on here regardless and since this thing happened I just had a good topic to post/make a thread about.
Are you trying to shame me for being antagonistic towards Trumpers? I can't speak for everyone on this forum but I personally enjoy reading stuff on here and posting because it has a clear right lean so I can sorta get an understanding of the mindset they have. I am not here to convert anyone, or to sing kumbaya and unite the two opposing sides. I am here mostly for entertainment and to pass time and part of that includes calling out Trumpers on their bs. This whole situation was just easy pickings.

1. New policies created by Trump that better the troops = 0
2. Number of times Trump went overseas to visit the troops = 0
On top of that he compared the sacrifice of parents who's child is killed in the line of duty to his sacrifice of building buildings.
Not to mention his attack on McCain for being a POW.
Hmm, how could anyone get the impression Trump just uses the military as props?Make Misc Great Again

I'm saying that logistical reasons involving travel and pre-planning are legit. LMAO at you implying that the president is personally responsible for calculating fuel needs of his transportation.
I also find it adorable that the left suddenly cares about the military and veterans so much. These events are photo ops, nothing more. But don't let that stop you from freaking out over every little thing. Everything Trump does is always the worst thing that ever happened ever.***Alabama Crimson Tide***
